11:1
|
耶穌吩咐完了他的十二門徒，就離開那里，他們的市鎮里教訓人，并且宣傳。
|
|
|
And it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples, he departed thence to teach and to preach in their cities.
|
|
11:2
|
約翰在監獄里聽見基督的事工，就打發門徒，
|
|
|
Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples,
|
|
11:3
|
去問耶穌說︰「你是那將要來的么？還是我們須期待著別人呢？」
|
|
|
And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?
|
|
11:4
|
耶穌回答說︰「你們去把所聽見所看見的報告約翰﹔
|
|
|
Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:
|
|
11:5
|
就是瞎子能看見，瘸子能走路，患麻瘋屬之病的得潔淨，聾子能聽見，死人得才活起來，窮人有好消息傳給他們﹔
|
|
|
The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
|
|
11:6
|
凡不因我而絆跌的，就有福了。」
|
|
|
And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.
|
|
11:7
|
他們走了，耶穌就對群眾講論約翰說︰「你們出去到野地里要看什么呢？被風搖動的蘆葦么？
|
|
|
And as they departed, Jesus began to say unto the multitudes concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken with the wind?
|
|
11:8
|
你們出去，到底要看什么？穿著細軟的人么？看哪，那披著細軟的人是在王宮里呢。
|
|
|
But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? behold, they that wear soft clothing are in kings' houses.
|
|
11:9
|
你們出去，到底是為了什么？要看神言人么？是的，我告訴你們﹔而且還是比神言人大多的呢！
|
|
|
But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet.
|
|
11:10
|
這個人就是經上所記到的，說︰「看哪，我差遣我的使者在你前面，他要在你前面准備你的道路。』
|
|
|
For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.
|
|
11:11
|
我實在告訴你們，婦人所生的，沒有一個興起來比施洗者約翰更大的﹔然而在天國里最小的比他還大！
|
|
|
Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
|
|
11:12
|
從施洗者約翰到現在，天國連用著權力，用力的人（或譯︰天國是被強取的，強取的人）攫取了它。
|
|
|
And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.
|
|
11:13
|
因為眾神言人和律法書傳了神言（或譯︰說了豫言），到約翰為止。
|
|
|
For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.
|
|
11:14
|
你們若肯接受，這人就是那將要來的以利亞。
|
|
|
And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come.
|
|
11:15
|
有耳（有古卷加︰可聽）的應當聽。
|
|
|
He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
|
|
11:16
|
「至于世代、我要用什么來比擬它呢？那就像小孩子坐在市場上呼叫別的小孩說（有古卷︰呼叫同伴）︰
|
|
|
But whereunto shall I liken this generation? It is like unto children sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows,
|
|
11:17
|
『我們向你們吹笛，你們也不跳舞﹔我們向你們哀號，你們也不捶胸。』
|
|
|
And saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned unto you, and ye have not lamented.
|
|
11:18
|
約翰來了，也不吃、也不喝，人就說︰『他有鬼附著』。
|
|
|
For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a devil.
|
|
11:19
|
人子來了，也吃也才，人就說︰『看哪，一個貪吃的人和酒徒！收稅人和『罪人』的朋友！』但智慧總是從智慧的行為（有古卷︰兒女）得証為對的。」
|
|
|
The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.
|
|
11:20
|
于是耶穌開始責備那些城︰他大多數的異能是在它們中間行的，它們還不悔改。
|
|
|
Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done, because they repented not:
|
|
11:21
|
他說「哥拉汛哪，你有禍阿！伯賽大阿，你有禍阿！因為在你們中間所行過的異能，若行在推羅西頓，他們早就披麻撒灰悔改了。
|
|
|
Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
|
|
11:22
|
然而我告訴你們，當審判的日子、推羅西頓所受的，必比你們還容易受呢！
|
|
|
But I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the day of judgment, than for you.
|
|
11:23
|
你呢、迦百農阿！難道你要被高舉到天上么？你必被降下到陰間哪！因為在你中間所行過的異能，若行在所多瑪，它還可以存到今日。
|
|
|
And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.
|
|
11:24
|
然而我告訴你們，當審判的日子、所多瑪地方所受的、必比你還容易受呢！」
|
|
|
But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee.
|
|
11:25
|
當那些時候，耶穌應時地說︰「父阿，天地的主阿，我稱謝你，因為你將這些事向智慧通達的人隱藏起來，向嬰孩卻啟示了。
|
|
|
At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.
|
|
11:26
|
是的，父阿，在你面前，你的美意就是如此。
|
|
|
Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.
|
|
11:27
|
一切都由我父交付了我﹔除了父，沒有一個認識子﹔除了子和子所愿意啟示的，也沒有一個認識父。
|
|
|
All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
|
|
11:28
|
一切勞苦背重擔的人哪，來找我吧，我便給你們安歇。
|
|
|
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
|
|
11:29
|
我心里柔和謙卑，你們要負我的軛來跟我學，你們心里就可得安歇。
|
|
|
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
|
|
11:30
|
因為我的軛是好負的，我的擔子是輕省的。」
|
|
|
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
|
