9:1

但是掃羅，仍然向主的門徒噴吐恐嚇和凶殺的口氣。他上去見大祭司，

And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,

9:2

向他求文書給大馬色各會堂，好使他、若找著了什么人信奉這道路，無論男女、都可以捆住，帶到耶路撒冷。

And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.

9:3

掃羅在走路，將近大馬色的時候、忽然有光從天上周圍閃爍地照射他。

And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:

9:4

他就仆倒在地上，聽見有聲音對他說︰「掃羅，掃羅，你為什么逼迫我？」

And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?

9:5

他說︰「先生（或譯︰主阿），你是誰？」主說︰「我就是你所逼迫的耶穌﹔

And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

9:6

你起來、進城，你所應該作的、就有人告訴你。」

And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.

9:7

和他同行的人都站著，說不出話來，聽見聲音，卻見不著什么人！

And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man.

9:8

掃羅從地上爬起來，睜開眼睛，卻看不見什么。有人拉他的手帶著他，帶進大馬色。

And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus.

9:9

他三天不能看見，沒有吃，也沒有喝。

And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink.

9:10

在大馬色有一個門徒名叫亞拿尼亞。在異象中主對他說︰「亞拿尼亞。」他說︰「主阿，你看，我在這里。」

And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord.

9:11

主對他說︰「你起來，往那叫直街的路上去，在猶大家里找一個大數人名叫掃羅﹔他正在禱告，

And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth,

9:12

在異象中見有一個人名叫亞拿尼亞進來，給他按手，使他能看見。」

And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight.

9:13

亞拿尼亞回答說︰「主阿，我從許多人聽見這個人的事，說他對在耶路撒冷的聖徒行了多么大的苦害﹔

Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:

9:14

又在這里執有從祭司長們得來的權柄，要捆綁一切呼求你名的人。」

And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name.

9:15

主卻對亞拿尼亞說︰「你只管去，因為這個人是屬于我揀選的器皿，要在外國人和君王、跟以色列人面前擔負我名的。

But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:

9:16

我為我的名必須受多么大的苦，我必指示他。」

For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.

9:17

亞拿尼亞就去，進了那家，給掃羅按手，說︰「掃羅弟兄，在你來的路上向你顯現的主、就是耶穌、差遣我來，使你能看見，又蒙聖靈充滿。」

And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.

9:18

立刻就有像魚鱗的東西、從掃羅眼睛上掉下來，他便能看見了。他就起來、受了洗﹔

And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.

9:19

用過飯，力量就增加了。掃羅同大馬色的門徒在一起有些日子，

And when he had received meat, he was strengthened. Then was Saul certain days with the disciples which were at Damascus.

9:20

隨即在各會堂宣傳耶穌，說這位耶穌就是上帝的兒子。

And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.

9:21

凡聽見的都驚奇說︰「這個人豈不是在耶路撒冷殘害呼求這名的么？他到這里來，豈不是要捆綁他們，帶到祭司長那里么？」

But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests?

9:22

但是掃羅卻越發得能力，駁倒住大馬色的猶太人，証明這位耶穌是上帝所膏立的。

But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very Christ.

9:23

過了好些日子，猶太人一同商議把掃羅殺掉﹔

And after that many days were fulfilled, the Jews took counsel to kill him:

9:24

他們的計謀卻被掃羅知道了。他們竟晝夜把守各城門，要殺掉他﹔

But their laying await was known of Saul. And they watched the gates day and night to kill him.

9:25

他的門徒就在夜間帶領著他，由城牆上放下，用筐子縋下去。

Then the disciples took him by night, and let him down by the wall in a basket.

9:26

到了耶路撒冷，掃羅嘗試著要和門徒接近﹔大家都怕他，不信他是門徒。

And when Saul was come to Jerusalem, he assayed to join himself to the disciples: but they were all afraid of him, and believed not that he was a disciple.

9:27

巴拿巴卻拉著他的手，帶他去見使徒，把他在路上怎么看見主、而主向他說話，他在大馬色怎么奉耶穌的名放膽講論，都向他們敘說了。

But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and declared unto them how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus.

9:28

掃羅在耶路撒冷同門徒出入往來，

And he was with them coming in and going out at Jerusalem.

9:29

奉主的名放膽講論，對說希利尼話的猶太人又講說又辯論。他們卻著手要殺掉他。

And he spake boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus, and disputed against the Grecians: but they went about to slay him.

9:30

弟兄們知道了，就帶他下該撒利亞，把他送出、到大數去。

Which when the brethren knew, they brought him down to Caesarea, and sent him forth to Tarsus.

9:31

當時猶太、加利利、撒瑪利亞、全地的教會都得平安，得建立，在敬畏主蒙聖靈的鼓勵中前進，人數日見增加。

Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.

9:32

彼得走遍各地的時候，也下到住呂大的聖徒那里。

And it came to pass, as Peter passed throughout all quarters, he came down also to the saints which dwelt at Lydda.

9:33

在那里遇見一個人、名叫以尼雅，在鋪蓋上躺臥了八年因為患了癱瘓病。

And there he found a certain man named Aeneas, which had kept his bed eight years, and was sick of the palsy.

9:34

彼得對他說︰「以尼雅，耶穌基督醫治了你了﹔起來，自己鋪疊吧！」以尼雅立刻就起來。

And Peter said unto him, Aeneas, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole: arise, and make thy bed. And he arose immediately.

9:35

住呂大和沙8鍀漱H都看見他，他們都轉向了主。

And all that dwelt at Lydda and Saron saw him, and turned to the Lord.

9:36

在約帕有一個女門徒，名叫大比大，譯成希利尼話叫作多加，就是羚羊的意思。這個婦人充滿著善行和施舍、就是她所常行的。

Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did.

9:37

當那些日子、她患病死了﹔人把她洗了，安放在房頂屋里。

And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber.

9:38

呂大近約帕，門徒聽見彼得在那里，就差遣兩個人去見彼得，央求著說︰「走過來到我們這里吧，不要耽延！」

And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them.

9:39

彼得就起身，和他們一同去﹔既已到了，人就領他上房頂屋子﹔眾寡婦都站在彼得旁邊哭，將多加同他們在一起時所作的里衣外衣指給他看。

Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them.

9:40

彼得催迫眾人出去，就跪下禱告，轉身對尸體說︰「大比大，起來！」那婦人就睜開眼睛，看見彼得、便坐起來。

But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up.

9:41

彼得向她伸手，扶她起來﹔就叫眾聖徒和寡婦進來，把多加活活的交給他們。

And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive.

9:42

全約帕知道了這事，就有許多人信服了主。

And it was known throughout all Joppa; and many believed in the Lord.

9:43

彼得在約帕一個硝皮匠西門家里住了好些日子。

And it came to pass, that he tarried many days in Joppa with one Simon a tanner.
