鬧亂平息了之后，保羅就打發人去邀請門徒來，加以鼓勵，然后辭別出發，往馬其頓去。

|
And after the uproar was ceased, Paul called unto him the disciples, and embraced them, and departed for to go into Macedonia.
|
|
20:2
|
既走遍了那些區域，用許多話鼓勵他們，就來到希臘。
|
|
|
And when he had gone over those parts, and had given them much exhortation, he came into Greece,
|
|
20:3
|
度了三個月，剛要開船往敘利亞去的時候、猶太人設計要害保羅，保羅就定意由馬其頓回去，
|
|
|
And there abode three months. And when the Jews laid wait for him, as he was about to sail into Syria, he purposed to return through Macedonia.
|
|
20:4
|
伴隨他的、有庇哩亞人畢羅斯的兒子所巴特、帖撒羅迦人亞里達古和西公都、多庇拉人（有古卷作︰特庇人）該猶、還有提摩太、同亞西亞人推基古和特羅非摩。
|
|
|
And there accompanied him into Asia Sopater of Berea; and of the Thessalonians, Aristarchus and Secundus; and Gaius of Derbe, and Timotheus; and of Asia, Tychicus and Trophimus.

|
這些人先走，在特羅亞等著我們﹔
|
|
|
These going before tarried for us at Troas.
|
|
20:6
|
我們呢、過了除酵節的日子，才從腓立比啟航，過五天就到特羅亞去找他們，在那里逗留了七天。
|
|
|
And we sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread, and came unto them to Troas in five days; where we abode seven days.
|
|
20:7
|
安息周的第一天，我們聚集擘餅的時候，保羅因為第二天將要出行，就向他們講論，把話延長到半夜。
|
|
|
And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.
|
|

|
在我們聚集的房頂屋子，有好些火把。
|
|
|
And there were many lights in the upper chamber, where they were gathered together.
|
|
20:9
|
有一個壯年人名叫猶推古、坐在窗台上，漸漸地被沉睡勝過了。保羅講論長些，壯年人被睡眠所勝過，就從三層樓上掉下去﹔扶起來，已經死了。
|
|
|
And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead.
|
|
20:10
|
但是保羅下去，伏在他身上，擁抱著他說︰「別鬧亂嘈嗷了！他還有活氣呢。」
|
|
|
And Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing him said, Trouble not yourselves; for his life is in him.
|
|

|
就上去，擘餅來吃，又談論了好久，直到破曉才出發。
|
|
|
When he therefore was come up again, and had broken bread, and eaten, and talked a long while, even till break of day, so he departed.
|
|
20:12
|
他們把那活著的僮仆帶去，無限地得了安慰。
|
|
|
And they brought the young man alive, and were not a little comforted.
|
|
20:13
|
我們就向前上船，開往亞朔，意思是要從那里接保羅上船﹔因為所排定的是這樣，他自己要走旱路（或譯︰要步行）。
|
|
|
And we went before to ship, and sailed unto Assos, there intending to take in Paul: for so had he appointed, minding himself to go afoot.
|
|

|
他既在亞朔同我們會合，我們就接他上船，來到米推利尼。
|
|
|
And when he met with us at Assos, we took him in, and came to Mitylene.
|
|
20:15
|
從那里開航，翌日抵達了基阿對面，隔一天越過去靠撒摩（有古卷加︰在特羅基利翁停留），又過一天來到米利都。
|
|
|
And we sailed thence, and came the next day over against Chios; and the next day we arrived at Samos, and tarried at Trogyllium; and the next day we came to Miletus.

20:16
|
因為保羅已經決定要駛過以弗所，免得在亞西亞耽延時日﹔他急忙往前走，巴不得趕五旬節日能夠到耶路撒冷。
|
|
|
For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, because he would not spend the time in Asia: for he hasted, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost.

|
保羅從米利都打發人往以弗所去，請教會的長老來。
|
|
|
And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called the elders of the church.
|
|
20:18
|
他們來到了，保羅就對他們說︰「你們自己知道，我從插足在亞西亞的頭一天到如今、一直怎樣和你們往來，
|
|
|
And when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons,
|
|
20:19
|
怎樣以十二分的謙卑做主的仆人，常常流淚、忍受試煉﹔這些試煉是因猶太人的計謀而臨到我的。
|
|
|
Serving the LORD with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews:
|
|
20:20
|
凡有益的、我如何沒有一樣退縮而不傳告你們，而不在公眾面前或挨家教訓你們。
|
|
|
And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house,
|
|
20:21
|
不但對猶太人、也對希利尼人、我都鄭重地証明他們在上帝面前應當悔改，對我們主耶穌應當有信心。
|
|
|
Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
|
|
20:22
|
你看，如今我被聖靈捆綁著（或譯︰我心靈上被捆綁著），要往耶路撒冷去，在那里要碰到什么、我不知道，
|
|
|
And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:
|
|
20:23
|
只知道聖靈在各城里都向我鄭重地指証、說有鎖才和苦難等著我。
|
|
|
Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me.
|
|
20:24
|
但我不為性命作什么計算，而看為對對自己有價值﹔比較起來，倒不如完盡了我的跑程、要行完我的路程，和我從主耶穌所領受的執事職任，鄭重証明上帝恩惠之福音。
|
|
|
But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
|
|
20:25
|
我素常在你們中間走遍各處，宣傳上帝國之道﹔看吧，如今我知道你們眾人不能再見我的面了。
|
|
|
And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.
|
|
20:26
|
所以在今天這日子、我確實地告訴你們，你們眾人若流血而滅亡，我乾淨無罪！（希臘文作︰對你們眾人的血、我是乾淨的）。
|
|
|
Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.
|
|
20:27
|
因為上帝全部的計畫、我并沒有退縮而不傳告你們。
|
|
|
For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.
|
|
20:28
|
聖靈在全群中立你們做監督，你們要關顧到自己、以及全群，牧養主（有古卷作︰上帝）的教會，就是他用自己的血所取得的。
|
|
|
Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
|
|
20:29
|
我知道我離開了以后，必有凶暴的豺狼要進入你們中間，不顧惜羊群。
|
|
|
For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
|
|
20:30
|
就是從你們自己中間、也必有人起來、說乖僻的話，要把門徒牽走、去跟從他們。
|
|
|
Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
|
|
20:31
|
所以你們要儆醒，記得我三年之久、晝夜不停地流淚勸戒你們每一個人。
|
|
|
Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.
|
|
20:32
|
如今我把你們托付于上帝和他恩惠之道，就是能建立你們，能在一切成聖的人中間將遺業賜給你們的。
|
|
|
And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.
|
|
20:33
|
我沒有貪圖過一個人的金銀或服裝。
|
|
|
I have coveted no man's silver, or gold, or apparel.
|
|
20:34
|
你們自己知道，我這兩只手供應了我和我同伴的需用。
|
|
|
Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me.
|
|
20:35
|
我凡事給你們做榜樣，讓你們知道應當這樣勞苦、扶助軟弱的人，記念主耶穌的話﹔他自己說過︰『給予比接受更為有福』」。
|
|
|
I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
|
|
20:36
|
說了這些話，保羅就跪下，同他們眾人禱告。
|
|
|
And when he had thus spoken, he kneeled down, and prayed with them all.
|
|
20:37
|
眾人的哀哭好傷心﹔他們伏在保羅的脖子上，熱切地和他親咀﹔
|
|
|
And they all wept sore, and fell on Paul's neck, and kissed him,
|
|
20:38
|
最傷心的是為了他說、他們必不得以再見他的面那句話。于是送他上船去了。
|
|
|
Sorrowing most of all for the words which he spake, that they should see his face no more. And they accompanied him unto the ship.
