6:1

所以我們應當離開基督開端之道，向前推進到完全長大的程度，不必再立下改悔死行為和信靠上帝等根基︰

Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

6:2

如各樣洗禮、按手禮、死人復活跟永世處刑、等教訓（有古卷作︰教訓的根基）。

Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

6:3

上帝若准許，我們就這樣行。

And this will we do, if God permit.

6:4

因為人既盡一次蒙了光照，又嘗過屬天之白白的恩，而有分于聖靈，

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

6:5

嘗過上帝之話語多么美好，又嘗過來世之能力，

And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

6:6

若背離了正道，要叫他們再復新而悔改、是不可能的，因為他們已在自己身上把上帝的兒子重釘（或譯︰釘上）十字架，使他公然被羞辱了。

If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

6:7

田地吸收屢次下在地上的雨水，產生著青菜、對地之所為而被耕種的人有了用處，就從上帝享受祝福﹔

For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:

6:8

但若生出荊棘和蒺藜，就不中用，近于受咒詛﹔其結局乃是被焚燒。

But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.

6:9

然而親愛的，關于你們的事、我們雖這樣說，卻還深信你們有較好的表現、能引致你們之得救。

But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.

6:10

因為上帝并不是不公義、以致于忘了你們的工作、和你們向他的名所証顯的愛心，就是你們從前用來服事聖徒、如今還用來服事聖徒的、那種愛心。

For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

6:11

我們切愿你們各人都証顯出同樣的熱切以達到所確信的指望到末了，

And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:

6:12

不至于懈怠，倒能效法那些憑信心與恆忍來承受應許的人。

That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

6:13

上帝在應許亞伯拉罕的時候，因沒有比自己更大的可以指著來起誓，就指著自己來起誓

For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,

6:14

說︰「我敢保我一定要給你祝福，我一定要使你的子孫增多」。

Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.

6:15

照這話、亞伯拉罕既能恆忍等待，就得了所應許的。

And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

6:16

人都是指著比自己大的來起誓﹔起誓對于他們就了結了一切的爭辯，可做確定的保証。

For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.

6:17

照這樣、上帝呢，上帝既定意向那些承受應許的后嗣更充份明他計畫之不可更改，也就加上了起誓作保，

Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:

6:18

好讓我們這些逃難的人、藉這兩件不可更改的事、就是上帝所不能撒謊的、得強有力的鼓勵，去抓住那擺在我們前頭的指望。

That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

6:19

我們所有的這指望就像靈魂之錨，又穩當又堅固，通入幔后的內聖所﹔

Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;

6:20

那先導者耶穌替我們進了那里，永遠做大祭司、照麥基洗德的等次。

Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

因此，撇開對基督小學原則的討論，讓我們繼續完善做好，不再鋪設基礎從死行中悔改，並要你對神 上帝有信心，

Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary  principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,

但各樣洗禮、按手之禮、死人複活，以及永恒審判

的教導。

Of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

神若許我們，我們必如此行。

And this we will do if God permits.

4

這是對於那些曾經開悟的人，不可能做的。唯有嚐過天上的恩賜，與聖靈有分，（像光星有天賜）

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit,

5

並嘗了神的善道和将來世界的權柄。

and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come.

6

他們若是背道,就不能叫他們從新悔改了。因爲他們把神的兒子重釘十字架，明明地羞辱他（光星）。(不接納光星，就是背道)

If they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.

7

就如一塊田地,常喝雨水，生長菜蔬，适合耕種的人用，就從神得福;（時常在光星裡學習得福）

For the earth which drinks in the rain that often comes upon it, and bears herbs useful for those by whom it is cultivated, receives blessing from God;

8

但如果它長有荊棘和蒺藜，它就會被拒絕，並接近被詛咒，其結局將被燒毀。（不學習就被燒毀）

But if it bears thorns and briars, it is rejected and near to being cursed, whose end is to be burned.

9

但是，親愛的，我們充滿信心，對更好的事情關於你，是的，以及伴随救恩而來的事情，儘管我們以這種方式說話。（繼續學習將來的救恩）

But, beloved, we are confident of better things concerning you, yes, things that accompany salvation, though we speak in this manner.

10

因爲神並沒有不公義，不忘記你們爲他名所作的工和愛的勞苦，就是之前服侍聖徒們，現在還是服侍。

For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

11

我們想要你們各人都顯出這樣的殷勤，使你們有滿足的盼望，一直到底。

And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end,

12

並且不懶惰，總要效法那些憑信心和忍耐承受應許的人。

That you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

13

當初神應許亞伯拉罕的時候，因爲沒有比自己更大可以指着起誓的，就指着自己起誓，

For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself,

14

神說:論福分，我實在是要祝福你，論加增，我必使你大大加增。

Saying, "Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you."

15

這樣，亞伯拉罕既恒久忍耐，就得了那應許。

And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

16

人都是指着更偉大的起誓，並且以起誓爲确認，結束各樣

的争論。

For men indeed swear by the greater, and an oath for confirmation is for them an end of all dispute.

17

照樣，神 上帝願意爲那應許的後嗣，格外顯明他的旨意是不更改的，就起誓确認。

Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath,

18

借這兩件不更改的事(地和天兩個應許,)，神絕不說謊，好叫我們這逃往避難所、持定擺在我們前頭有指望的人，可以大得安慰。

That by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.

19

我們有這指望，如同靈魂的錨，又堅固又牢靠，並且通入幔内。

This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil,

20

作先鋒的耶稣，既照着麥基洗德的等次成了永遠的大祭司，就爲我們進去了。

Where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.
