3:1
|
你們看，父將何等的愛愛了我們﹔讓我們得稱為上帝的兒女！我們也真地是。世人之所以不認識我們的，是因為沒有認識他。

|
|
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
|
|
3:2
|
親愛的，我們現今是上帝的兒女﹔將來怎樣，還未顯明﹔我們只知道他無論什么時候顯現，我們總會像他、因為我們必見他，照他的真樣子。
|
|
|
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
|
|
3:3
|
凡向他有這指望的，就使自己清潔，像他那樣清潔。
|
|
|
And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
|
|
3:4
|
凡犯罪的、就是行了不法之事﹔不法之事就是罪。
|
|
|
Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
|
|
3:5
|
你們知道主曾經顯現，是要把人的罪除掉︰在他里面并沒有罪。
|
|
|
And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
|
|
3:6
|
凡住在他里面的不犯罪﹔凡犯罪的是未曾看見他，也未曾認識他。
|
|
|
Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
|
|
3:7
|
小子們，別讓人領你們走迷了路了﹔行義的才是義人，正像主是義的﹔
|
|
|
Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
|
|
3:8
|
犯罪的乃是出于魔鬼，因為魔鬼從起初就犯罪。上帝的兒子顯現出來，就是要毀滅魔鬼的作為。
|
|
|
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
|
|
3:9
|
凡由上帝而生的不犯罪，因為上帝的種長存在他里面︰他不能犯罪，因為他是由上帝而生的。
|
|
|
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
|
|
3:10
|
凡不行義的、不是出于上帝﹔不愛兄的、也不出于上帝︰在這一點、上帝的兒女和魔鬼的兒女就顯出來了。
|
|
|
In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
|
|
3:11
|
你們從起初所聽見的信息就是︰我們應當彼此相愛﹔
|
|
|
For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
|
|
3:12
|
不像該隱﹔出于那邪惡者、而屠殺了他的兄弟。為什么屠殺他呢？因為他自己的行為邪惡，而他兄弟的行為卻是正義。
|
|
|
Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.
|
|
3:13
|
弟兄們，世人若恨你們，別以為希奇了。
|
|
|
Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
|
|
3:14
|
我們知道我們已經從死里越到生里來，是因為我們愛弟兄。不愛弟兄的、還住在死里面。
|
|
|
We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
|
|
3:15
|
凡恨弟兄的、就是殺人的︰你們知道凡殺人的、沒有永生存（與『住』字同字）在他里面。
|
|
|
Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
|
|
3:16
|
主替我們放棄了性命︰在這點、我們就認識了愛了。我們呢、也應該替弟兄們放棄性命。
|
|
|
Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
|
|
3:17
|
凡有人有世上養生之資，見他弟兄有缺乏，卻向關閉著憐憫的心腸，愛上帝的心怎能存（與『住』字同字）在他里面呢？
|
|
|
But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
|
|
3:18
|
小子們，我們愛人、別只用話語了，也別只用舌頭了，卻要用行為和真實。
|
|
|
My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
|
|
3:19
|
在這一點、我們可以知道我們屬于真實﹔
|
|
|
And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.
|
|
3:20
|
就使我們的心怎樣責備我們，我們在上帝面前仍可自安，因為上帝比我們的心大﹔他知道萬事。
|
|
|
For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
|
|
3:21
|
親愛的，我們的心若不責備我們，我們在上帝面前就有坦然無懼的心了。
|
|
|
Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.
|
|
3:22
|
這樣，凡我們所求的，我們都從他得著，因為我們守他的誡命，行他眼中所喜歡的事。
|
|
|
And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
|
|
3:23
|
我們要信上帝的兒子耶穌基督的名，并照他所賜給我們的誡命彼此相愛︰這就是上帝的誡命。
|
|
|
And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
|
|
3:24
|
守上帝誡命的、住在上帝里面，上帝也住在他里面。在這一點、我們就知道上帝住在我們里面，是由于他所賜給我們的靈。
|
|
|
And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.
