9:1

論到供應聖徒的事、寫信給你們、于我是多余的。

For as touching the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you:

9:2

我知道你們愿作的熱心，就把這事對馬其頓人夸獎你們、說亞該亞人從去年就豫備好了﹔你們的熱心便激動了多數人。

For I know the forwardness of your mind, for which I boast of you to them of Macedonia, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal hath provoked very many.

9:3

不過我還打發那几位弟兄去，好叫我們在這方面所夸獎你們的不至于落了空，好叫你們照我屢次所說的豫備好了。

Yet have I sent the brethren, lest our boasting of you should be in vain in this behalf; that, as I said, ye may be ready:

9:4

萬一有馬其頓人和我一同去，見你們沒有豫備，在這信任的事上、我們就會覺得慚愧，你們呢、更不用說了。

Lest haply if they of Macedonia come with me, and find you unprepared, we (that we say not, ye) should be ashamed in this same confident boasting.

9:5

所以我以為必須勸那几位弟兄先到你們那里去，把你們從前所應許的慨捐先湊好了，讓這一項齊備了，可以顯出是慨捐，而不是我的強取。

Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren, that they would go before unto you, and make up beforehand your bounty, whereof ye had notice before, that the same might be ready, as a matter of bounty, and not as of covetousness.

9:6

還有一點︰「小量撒種的、也必小量收成﹔大量撒種的、也必大量收成。」

But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

9:7

各人要照心里所酌定的，不要心疼，不要勉強︰因為上帝愛歡心樂意的捐獻者。

Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

9:8

上帝能使各樣的恩惠充盈滿溢地流到你們身上來，使你們凡事常有十分的充足，能夠溢流出各樣慈善的事來。

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

9:9

正如經上所記︰「他分散財物、給予貧窮﹔他的仁義永遠常存。」

(As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.

9:10

那給撒種的供應種子、又供應餅做食品、必供給并加多你們慈善的種子，使你們仁義的產物增長著﹔

Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)

9:11

使你們凡事富足，能有十分慷慨的施與。這樣的施與便藉著我們使眾人對上帝生出感謝的心來。

Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.

9:12

因為這供應的事不但補足了聖徒的缺乏，而且能使感謝上帝的心也越發滿溢地由許多人流出來。

For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;

9:13

他們因了你們對基督福音之信認所表示的順服、又因了你們對他們又對眾人在團契捐上之慷慨、便藉著這供應之事所試驗出來的、將榮耀歸與上帝。

Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;

9:14

他們自己也因了上帝在你們身上所賜超越的恩、而切慕你們，替你們祈求。

And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you.

9:15

感謝上帝，感謝他那說不盡之白白的恩！

Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.
