5:1
|
耶穌看見一群一群的人，就上了山﹔既已坐下，門徒上前來﹔
|
|
|
And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
|
|
5:2
|
他就開口教訓他們說︰
|
|
|
And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
|
|
5:3
|
「心靈貧窮的人有福阿！因為天國是他們的。
|
|
|
Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
|
|
5:4
|
哀慟的人有福阿！因為他們必得安慰。
|
|
|
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
|
|
5:5
|
柔和的人有福阿！因為他們必承受得地土。
|
|
|
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
|
|
5:6
|
渴慕義的人有福阿！因為他們必得飽足。
|
|
|
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
|
|
5:7
|
憐恤人的人有福阿！因為他們必蒙憐恤。
|
|
|
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
|
|
5:8
|
心里潔淨的人有福阿！因為他們必看得見上帝。
|
|
|
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
|
|
5:9
|
締造和平的人有福阿！因為他們必稱為上帝的兒子。
|
|
|
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
|
|
5:10
|
為著義受逼迫的人有福阿！因為天國是他們的。
|
|
|
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
|
|
5:11
|
人辱罵你們，逼迫你們，憑空虛造說出各樣壞話毀謗你們﹔為了我的緣故、你們是有福的。
|
|
|
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
|
|
5:12
|
應當歡喜快樂，因為你們在天上的賞報很大﹔因為你們以前的神言人、人也是這樣逼迫他們。
|
|
|
Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
|
|
5:13
|
「你們、是地上的鹽。鹽若失了味，要用什么使它再咸呢？那就不再有什么用處，只好丟在外面，給人踐踏罷了。
|
|
|
Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
|
|
5:14
|
「你們、是世界的光。城立在山上是不能隱藏的。
|
|
|
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
|
|
5:15
|
「人點燈也不放在斗底下，乃是放在燈台上，使它照亮所有在家里的人。
|
|
|
Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
|
|
5:16
|
照樣子，你們的光也應當照在人面前，使他們看見你們的好行為，便將榮耀歸與你們在天上的父。
|
|
|
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
|
|
5:17
|
「不要以我來是要毀廢律法或神言人﹔我來不是要毀廢，乃是要成全。
|
|
|
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
|
|
5:18
|
我實在告訴你們，即使天地都過去了，一點或一鉤也決不能從律法書上過去﹔一切必須實現的、總必實現。
|
|
|
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
|
|
5:19
|
所以凡廢掉誡命中這些最小之一條，又這樣教訓人的，在天國里他必稱為最小的﹔凡遵行誡命，又教訓人的，這人在天國里必稱為大。
|
|
|
Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
|
|
5:20
|
我告訴你們，你們的義若不勝過經學士和法利賽人的義，你們必定不能進天國。
|
|
|
For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
|
|
5:21
|
「你們曾聽見有話對古人說︰『不可殺人﹔凡殺人的必須擔受判罰。』
|
|
|
Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
|
|
5:22
|
但是我告訴你們，凡向弟兄發怒的，必須擔受判罰﹔凡罵弟兄為『飯桶』（希臘文︰拉加）的，必須擔免議院的判罰﹔凡罵弟兄為『傻瓜』（希臘文︰魔利）的，必須擔受地獄（希臘文︰欣嫩子谷）的火。

|
|
But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
|
|
5:23
|
所以你在祭壇前供獻禮物，若在那里想起你弟兄向你有不對的事，
|
|
|
Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;
|
|
5:24
|
你就當把禮物留在那里、在祭壇前，先去同你弟兄彼此復和，然后來供獻禮物。
|
|
|
Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
|
|
5:25
|
你同告你的對頭在路上時，要趕緊向他表示好意﹔恐怕那告你的對頭把你送交審判官，審判官把你送交衙役，你就被下在監里。
|
|
|
Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.
|
|
5:26
|
我實在告訴你，非等到最后的一個大錢（希臘文︰科轉得，約等于一日工錢的四十分之一）都還清了，你斷乎不能從那里出來。
|
|
|
Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.
|
|
5:27
|
「你們聽見有話說︰『不可奸淫』。
|
|
|
Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
|
|
5:28
|
但是我告訴你們，凡看婦女、而動欲念的，這人心里已經和她犯了奸淫了。
|
|
|
But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
|
|
5:29
|
若是你的右眼使你絆跌，你要把它剜出來，丟掉它﹔因為你肢體中的一肢失掉了，而你的全身不丟在地獄（希臘文︰欣嫩子谷）里，這對于你倒還好。
|
|
|
And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
|
|
5:30
|
若是你的右手使你絆跌，你要把它砍下來，丟掉它﹔因為你肢體中的一肢失掉了，而你的全身不往地獄（希臘文︰欣嫩子谷）去，這對于你倒還好。
|
|
|
And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

5:31
|
「又有話說︰『無論誰離棄妻子，總要給她離婚書』。
|
|
|
It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:
|
|
5:32
|
但是我告訴你們，凡離棄妻子的，除非為了淫亂的理由，便是叫她受奸污﹔無論誰同被離棄的婦人結婚，就是犯奸淫。
|
|
|
But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
|
|
5:33
|
「再者，你們曾聽見有話對古人說︰『不可違背所起的誓﹔你所起的誓總要向主清還』。
|
|
|
Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:
|
|
5:34
|
但是我告訴你們，一概不可起誓﹔不可指著天來起誓，因為天是上帝的座位﹔
|
|
|
But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:
|
|
5:35
|
不可指著地來起誓，因為地是他的腳凳﹔也不可向著耶路撒冷來起誓，因為耶路撒冷是大君的城﹔
|
|
|
Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.
|
|
5:36
|
又不可指著你的頭來起誓，因為你不能使一根頭發變白或變黑。
|
|
|
Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.
|
|
5:37
|
你們的話要是就是是，不是就是不是﹔若再多說、便是出于邪惡者（或譯︰邪惡）。
|
|
|
But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.
|
|
5:38
|
「你們曾聽見有話說︰『以眼還眼，以牙還牙』。
|
|
|
Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:
|
|
5:39
|
但是我告訴你們，不可報復惡行為。無論誰在你右邊咀巴上給你一個耳刮子，你連左邊也要轉過來給他打。
|
|
|
But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
|
|
5:40
|
想要同你打官司，來拿你的里衣的，你連外衣也要由他拿。
|
|
|
And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also.
|
|
5:41
|
無論誰拉夫你走一里路，你要同他去走二里。
|
|
|
And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
|
|
5:42
|
向你求的，你要給他﹔想要向你借的，你別轉臉不顧他。
|
|
|
Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.
|
|
5:43
|
「你們曾聽見有話說︰『要愛你的鄰舍，恨你的仇敵』。
|
|
|
Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
|
|
5:44
|
但是我告訴你們，要愛你們的仇敵（有古卷加︰要給咒詛你們的祝福﹔要好待那恨惡你們的），要為那逼迫你們（有古卷加︰和誣 你們）的禱告。
|
|
|
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
|
|
5:45
|
這樣，你們才可以做你們天上的父的兒女﹔因為他安排日出、是照惡人、也照好人﹔他下雨是給老實人、也給不老實的人。
|
|
|
That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
|
|
5:46
|
你們若愛那愛你們的，有什么賞報可得呢？就是收稅人不也是這樣行么？
|
|
|
For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
|
|
5:47
|
你們若單給你們的弟兄請安，比人有什么長處呢？就是外國人不也是這樣行么？
|
|
|
And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
|
|
5:48
|
所以你們要完全，像你們的天父那么完全。
|
|
|
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
|
