6:1

耶穌離開那里，到了他的家鄉﹔他的門徒跟著他。

And he went out from thence, and came into his own country; and his disciples follow him.

6:2

到了安息日，他開始在會堂里教訓人﹔眾人聽見了，就驚駭說︰「這個人從哪里得到這一切呢？所給予這個人的智慧是什么智慧呀？那藉著他的手所行這么大的的異能是什么異能阿？

And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?

6:3

這個人不是那木匠、馬利亞的兒子（有古卷作︰那木匠和馬利亞的兒子）、雅各約瑟猶大西門的弟兄么？他妹妹們不也是在我們這里么？」就跟他格格不入。

Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.

6:4

耶穌對他們說︰「神言人除了在他家鄉、他親戚、本家之外，沒有不受尊敬的。」

But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.

6:5

耶穌不能在那里施行什么異能，不過給几個病人按手，治好他們罷了。

And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.

6:6

他因他們的不信而覺得希奇。便周游四圍村庄教訓人去了。

And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.

6:7

耶穌呼召了那十二個人，開始差遣他們兩個兩個地出去，一路給他們制伏污靈的權柄﹔

And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits;

6:8

并囑咐他們單除了手仗以外、什么也不要帶、去做路上的用處﹔不要帶餅，不要帶口袋，不要有錢在腰袋里﹔

And commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no money in their purse:

6:9

只要著上鞋﹔也不要穿兩件褂子。

But be shod with sandals; and not put on two coats.

6:10

又對他們說︰「無論何處、你們進了一家，要住在那里，直到從那里出來。

And he said unto them, In what place soever ye enter into an house, there abide till ye depart from that place.

6:11

無論什么地方不接待你們，不聽你們，你們從那里出來的時候，要把你們腳下的塵土抖掉，對他們做個警告。」

And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

6:12

門徒就出去宣傳，叫人悔改﹔

And they went out, and preached that men should repent.

6:13

趕了許多鬼，用油抹了許多病人，治好他們。

And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.

6:14

因耶穌名聲之顯揚、希律王聽見了。有人（希臘文︰他們）說︰「是施洗的約翰從死人中活了起來，故此才有這些異能運行在他身上。」

And king Herod heard of him; (for his name was spread abroad:) and he said, That John the Baptist was risen from the dead, and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him.

6:15

但另有人卻說他是以利亞﹔又另有人說是神言人，可以說是神言人中的一位。

Others said, That it is Elias. And others said, That it is a prophet, or as one of the prophets.

6:16

希律聽見了卻說︰「是我所斬首的約翰，他活了起來。」

But when Herod heard thereof, he said, It is John, whom I beheaded: he is risen from the dead.

6:17

原來希律、為了他兄弟腓力的妻子希羅底的緣故﹝因為她娶了她﹞、曾差遣人抓住約翰，將他捆著，下在監里。

For Herod himself had sent forth and laid hold upon John, and bound him in prison for Herodias' sake, his brother Philip's wife: for he had married her.

6:18

因為約翰屢次（或譯︰曾）對希律說︰「你取了你兄弟的妻子是不合法的。」

For John had said unto Herod, It is not lawful for thee to have thy brother's wife.

6:19

希羅底逼著他，想要殺他，只是不能。

Therefore Herodias had a quarrel against him, and would have killed him; but she could not:

6:20

因為希律敬畏約翰，知道他是正義聖潔的人，直保護他。他聽了他，就大大為難，但也喜歡聽他。

For Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just man and an holy, and observed him; and when he heard him, he did many things, and heard him gladly.

6:21

有個好機會的日到了︰當他生日的時候，希律給他的大官、千夫長、加利利的首領、擺設筵席。

And when a convenient day was come, that Herod on his birthday made a supper to his lords, high captains, and chief estates of Galilee;

6:22

希羅底自己的女兒進去跳舞﹔她得了希律和一同坐席的人的歡心﹔于是王對閨女說︰「凡你所愿意的，求我，我就給你。」

And when the daughter of the said Herodias came in, and danced, and pleased Herod and them that sat with him, the king said unto the damsel, Ask of me whatsoever thou wilt, and I will give it thee.

6:23

他并且對她起誓說︰「凡你所求的，甚至于我國的一半，我也要給你。」

And he sware unto her, Whatsoever thou shalt ask of me, I will give it thee, unto the half of my kingdom.

6:24

閨女就出來，對她母親說︰「我要求什么？」她母親說︰「施洗約翰的頭。」

And she went forth, and said unto her mother, What shall I ask? And she said, The head of John the Baptist.

6:25

她隨即趕快進去，到王面前求說︰「愿王即刻把施洗者約翰的頭放在盤子里給我。」

And she came in straightway with haste unto the king, and asked, saying, I will that thou give me by and by in a charger the head of John the Baptist.

6:26

王很是憂困﹔只因了起誓的話和坐席的人，就不好意思辭絕她。

And the king was exceeding sorry; yet for his oath's sake, and for their sakes which sat with him, he would not reject her.

6:27

王立刻差遣一個衛兵，吩咐將約翰的頭拿來。衛兵就去，在監里把約翰斬首，

And immediately the king sent an executioner, and commanded his head to be brought: and he went and beheaded him in the prison,

6:28

把他的頭放在盤子里拿來，給那閨女﹔閨女就給了她母親。

And brought his head in a charger, and gave it to the damsel: and the damsel gave it to her mother.

6:29

約翰的門徒聽見了就來，將他的尸體領去，安放在墳墓里。

And when his disciples heard of it, they came and took up his corpse, and laid it in a tomb.

6:30

使徒聚集到耶穌跟前，將他們所作所教訓的一切事報告他。

And the apostles gathered themselves together unto Jesus, and told him all things, both what they had done, and what they had taught.

6:31

耶穌就對他們說︰「來吧，你們自己暗暗兒到荒野地方去，歇息一會兒。」﹝這是因為來往的人多，他們連吃飯也沒有閑暇工夫。﹞

And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.

6:32

他們就坐船、暗暗兒往荒野地方去了。

And they departed into a desert place by ship privately.

6:33

眾人看見他們走了，有許多人認得他們，便從各城步行，（或譯︰便由旱路，從各城）一齊向那里跑，比他們先到。

And the people saw them departing, and many knew him, and ran afoot thither out of all cities, and outwent them, and came together unto him.

6:34

耶穌出了船，看見一大群人，就憐憫他們，因為他們像同羊沒有牧人一般﹔就教訓他們許多事。

And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.

6:35

時候已晚，門徒就上他跟前來，說︰「這地方是荒野，而且時候已晚﹔

And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, This is a desert place, and now the time is far passed:

6:36

請解散眾人，他們好往四圍鄉下村庄里，去自己買什么吃的。」

Send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat.

6:37

耶穌回答他們說︰「你們、給他們吃。」他們對他說︰「我們要去買二百日錢（希臘文︰『第那流』﹔羅馬銀幣）的餅，給他們吃么？」

He answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat?

6:38

耶穌問他們說︰「你們有多少餅？去看看！」他們知道了，就說︰「五個，還有兩條魚。」

He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes.

6:39

耶穌就吩咐他們大家、要一組一組地坐在青草地上。

And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass.

6:40

他們就一排一排地坐下，有一百的，有五十的。

And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties.

6:41

耶穌便拿這五個餅兩條魚，望著天祝頌，擘開了餅，連續地給門徒，去擺在眾人面前﹔他也把那兩條魚分給他們。

And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all.

6:42

眾人都吃，并且吃飽了﹔

And they did all eat, and were filled.

6:43

他們就把碎片兒撿起來，十二個籃子滿滿的！另外還有碎魚。

And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes.

6:44

吃餅的有五千人。

And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men.

6:45

耶穌隨即催門徒上船，先到那邊，到伯賽大去，等他自己解散群眾。

And straightway he constrained his disciples to get into the ship, and to go to the other side before unto Bethsaida, while he sent away the people.

6:46

既辭別了他們，他就往山上去禱告。

And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray.

6:47

到了傍晚，船在海中，耶穌自己單獨在岸上。

And when even was come, the ship was in the midst of the sea, and he alone on the land.

6:48

看見他們艱苦在搖櫓，因為風逆著他們﹔就在夜里四更時分，向著他們那里走去，在海上走，想要在他們旁邊走過去。

And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them.

6:49

他們看見他在海上走，以為是鬼怪，就高聲喊叫起來﹔

But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out:

6:50

大家一看見他，便震才不安。耶穌連忙同他們講話，對他們說︰「你們放膽﹔是我﹔別怕了！」

For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.

6:51

就到他們那里上了船，風就不狂吹了。他們心里非常驚奇﹔

And he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered.

6:52

因為他們不曉悟餅的事﹔心里總是愚頑。

For they considered not the miracle of the loaves: for their heart was hardened.

6:53

他們既渡過去到旱地那邊，就來到革尼撒勒靠岸。

And when they had passed over, they came into the land of Gennesaret, and drew to the shore.

6:54

他們一從船上出來，眾人便認得是耶穌，

And when they were come out of the ship, straightway they knew him,

6:55

就跑遍那全地區，將有病的人放在鋪蓋上隨帶著，聽見他在什么地方就到什么地方去。

And ran through that whole region round about, and began to carry about in beds those that were sick, where they heard he was.

6:56

凡耶穌所進的村庄、或城市、或鄉下，他們都把患病的人放在市場上，求耶穌容他們摸他，隨即只摸得著他的衣裳扛子﹔凡摸著他的人、都得了救治。

And whithersoever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole.
