5:1

耶穌在革尼撒勒湖邊站著﹔群眾擠他、要聽上帝的道（或譯︰話）﹔

And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret,

5:2

他看見兩只船在湖邊停著﹔打魚的人卻離開了船，洗著網子。

And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets.

5:3

耶穌上了其中的一只船、是西門的，請他 出去、稍微離岸。他就坐下，從船上教訓群眾。

And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.

5:4

停講的時候、耶穌對西門說︰「 出去到深的地方，縋下網子去打魚。」

Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.

5:5

西門回答說︰「老師，我們整夜勞苦、沒有打著什么，如今靠著你的話、我要把網子縋下去。」

And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.

5:6

他們這樣作，就圈住了天一大群魚﹔他們的網子几乎要裂開了！

And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.

5:7

便招呼那另一只船的夥伴來協助他們。他們就來，裝滿了兩只船，以致船几乎要沉沒下去。

And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.

5:8

西門彼得看見，就拜倒在耶穌膝前，說︰「主阿，離開我，我是個罪人！」

When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.

5:9

因了他們所捕得的這一次打的魚，驚訝便圍困了他、和所有同他在一起的人﹔

For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken:

5:10

西庇太的兒子、那跟西門作夥友的雅各約翰、也是這樣。耶穌對西門說︰「別怕了，從今以后、你要活捉得人了。」

And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men.

5:11

他們把兩只船攏了岸，就撇下一切，跟從耶穌。

And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed him.

5:12

耶穌在一個城里，忽有一個人滿身患了麻瘋屬之病，看見耶穌，就俯伏在地上，祈求他說︰「主阿，你若肯，就會使我潔淨。」

And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

5:13

耶穌就伸手摸他說︰「我肯，你得潔淨吧。」麻瘋屬之病立刻離開了他。

And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him.

5:14

耶穌囑咐他不要告訴人﹔只「要去，把你本身指給祭司看，又為了你的潔淨、照摩西所吩咐的來供獻，對眾人做証據。」

And he charged him to tell no man: but go, and shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing, according as Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

5:15

但關于他的傳言卻越發散布各處﹔許多群眾都聚攏了來要聽，也要得治好他們的疾病。

But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.

5:16

耶穌卻退去，到野地里禱告。

And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.

5:17

這些日子有一天、耶穌正教訓人﹔有法利賽人和教法師也在座。人從加利利各村庄、和猶太跟耶路撒冷來（有古卷作︰他們是從 來的）﹔主的能力與耶穌同在，使他能行醫。

And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.

5:18

有人帶著一個癱瘓的人在床上，直想法子要把他帶進去、放在耶穌面前。

And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy: and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him.

5:19

因有群眾、直尋不出怎樣帶進去﹔就上了房頂，從瓦間把他連小床都放下去、到當中、在耶穌面前。

And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus.

5:20

耶穌見了他們的信心，就說︰「人哪，你的罪赦了。」

And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.

5:21

經學士和法利賽人就議論起來，說︰『這個說僭妄話的人是誰阿？除了上帝以外、誰能赦罪呢？」

And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?

5:22

耶穌覺出他們的意念來，就回答他們說︰「你們為什么心里議論呢？

But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts?

5:23

說『你的罪赦了』，或是說『你起來，走路吧！』，哪一樣容易呢？

Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk?

5:24

但是為要使你們知道人子在地上有權柄可以赦罪，﹝就對癱子說﹞我對你說︰「起來，拿起你的小床來，往你家去！」

But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house.

5:25

那人立時起來，當眾人面前拿起他所躺臥的東西來，歸榮耀與上帝。

And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.

5:26

驚奇抓住了眾人，他們就將榮耀歸與上帝，充滿著敬畏的心、說︰「今天我們看見了不可思議的事了。」

And they were all amazed, and they glorified God, and were filled with fear, saying, We have seen strange things to day.

5:27

這些事以后、耶穌出去，看見一個收稅人、名叫利未、在稅關上坐著，就對他說︰「你跟從我。」

And after these things he went forth, and saw a publican, named Levi, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he said unto him, Follow me.

5:28

他就撇下了一切，起來跟從耶穌。

And he left all, rose up, and followed him.

5:29

利未在自己家里為耶穌辦了盛大的迎賓席﹔當時有一大群的收稅人、和跟他們一同坐席的其他人們。

And Levi made him a great feast in his own house: and there was a great company of publicans and of others that sat down with them.

5:30

法利賽人和他們的經學士就唧唧咕咕向耶穌的門徒議論說︰「你們為什么跟收稅人和『罪人』一同吃喝呢？」

But their scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners?

5:31

耶穌回答他們說︰「康健的沒有需要醫生，有病的才有需要。

And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick.

5:32

我來不是要召義人，乃是要召罪人悔改。」

I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

5:33

有人對耶穌說︰「約翰的門徒常常禁食，作祈求上帝的事﹔法利賽人的門徒也是這樣﹔惟獨你的門徒也吃也喝！」

And they said unto him, Why do the disciples of John fast often, and make prayers, and likewise the disciples of the Pharisees; but thine eat and drink?

5:34

耶穌對他們說︰「新郎跟賀喜的朋友在一起的時候，你們哪能叫他們禁食呢？

And he said unto them, Can ye make the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them?

5:35

但是日子必到，新郎要從他們中間被取去，那時、他們就要在那些日子禁食了。」

But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.

5:36

耶穌也對他們講一個比喻說︰「沒有人從新衣上撕下一塊補才，去補在舊衣裳上﹔如果那樣，他不但把新的撕裂了，就是那從新的撕下來的補才也跟舊的不相稱阿。

And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old.

5:37

也沒有人把新酒裝在舊皮袋里﹔如果那樣，新酒便將皮袋漲破，酒會迸流出來，皮袋就毀壞了。

And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish.

5:38

不，新酒必須裝在新皮袋里。

But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved.

5:39

沒有人喝了陳酒、還想要新的﹔他總說『陳的好。』」

No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.
