15:1

眾收稅人和『罪人』都走近耶穌那里，要聽他。

Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him.

15:2

法利賽人以及經學士、就唧唧咕咕地彼此議論說︰「這個人接待一些『罪人』，又和他們一同吃飯哪。」

And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.

15:3

耶穌就對他們講這個比喻說︰

And he spake this parable unto them, saying,

15:4

「你們中間什么人有一百只羊，失掉其中的一只，不把這九十九只撇在野地，去找那失掉的，直到找著呢？

What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?

15:5

找著了，就擱在肩膀上，直歡喜。

And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.

15:6

來到家里，就招朋友和同鄉，對他們說︰『和我一同歡喜吧，因為我那失掉的羊、我已經找著了。

And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.

15:7

『我告訴你們，為了一個罪人悔改，在天上也必有這樣的喜樂，比為了九十九個無需乎悔改的義人，喜樂還要大呢。

I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

15:8

「或是什么婦人有十個『日工錢』幣（希臘文作︰『得拉美』希臘銀幣︰相當于羅馬的『第那流』﹔約等于一日工錢），若失掉了一個（希臘文作︰『得拉美』希臘銀幣︰相當于羅馬的『第那流』﹔約等于一日工錢），豈不點上燈，打掃屋子，細細地找，直到找著呢？

Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?

15:9

找著了，就招集女朋友和同鄉來，說︰『和我一同歡喜吧，因為我失掉『一日工錢』幣，我已經找著了。』

And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.

15:10

我告訴你們，為了一個罪人悔改，在上帝的使者面前也這樣地有喜樂。」

Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

15:11

耶穌又說︰「一個人有兩個兒子。

And he said, A certain man had two sons:

15:12

那小的對父親說︰『父親，請把歸在我分上的資產給我。』他父親就把養生之資分給他們。

And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.

15:13

過了不多几日，那小兒子就收集一切，出外往遼遠地區去了﹔在那里揮霍資產，浪費地生活。

And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.

15:14

既耗盡了他的一切，沿那地區又發生了很厲害的飢荒，他就窮乏起來。

And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.

15:15

于是他去投靠那地方的一個公民﹔那人打發他到田地里去才豬。

And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.

15:16

他巴不得將豬所吃的豆莢來填滿了肚子（有古卷作︰以得吃飽）﹔也沒有人接續地給他。

And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.

15:17

他回悟過來，就說︰『我父親有多少雇工，食物充足有余，我倒在這里因飢餓（同詞︰飢荒）而喪命阿？

And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!

15:18

我要起來，去見我父親，對他說︰『父親，我犯罪違逆了天，也犯罪在你面前﹔

I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,

15:19

再也不配稱為你的兒子了﹔把我當做你的一個雇工吧。』

And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.

15:20

就起來，直向他父親那里走。還離得遠的時候，他父親看見，就動了憐憫的心，跑去扑在他的脖子上，熱切地和他親咀。

And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.

15:21

兒子對父親說︰『父親，我犯罪違逆了天，也犯罪在你面前﹔再也不配稱為你的兒子了。（有古卷加︰把我當做你的一個雇工吧）』

And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.

15:22

父親卻吩咐他的仆人說︰『快把上好的袍子拿出來給他穿上，把戒指戴在他指頭上，把鞋穿在他腳上﹔

But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:

15:23

把那只肥牛犢牽來宰﹔我們吃喝快樂吧！

And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:

15:24

因為我這個兒子死又再活了﹔失掉又得著了。』他們就歡躍起來。

For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.

15:25

那時大兒子正在田地里。他來，走近了家的時候，聽見音樂和舞蹈的聲音﹔

Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing.

15:26

就叫一個僮仆來，查問是什么事。

And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant.

15:27

憧仆對他說︰『你弟弟來了﹔你父親因接他安健的回來，把那只肥牛犢宰了。』

And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.

15:28

大兒子卻發怒，不肯進去﹔他父親就出來勸他。

And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him.

15:29

他回答他父親說︰『你看，我服事了你這么多年，從未疏忽過你的命令﹔你也從未給過我一只山羊羔（有古卷作︰小山羊羔），讓我和我的朋友一同快樂。

And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:

15:30

但你這個兒子、這同妓女吃盡了你給的養生之資的、一來，你倒為他宰了那只肥牛犢！』

But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.

15:31

父親對他說︰『孩子，你始終跟我在一起，我的一切都是你的。

And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.

15:32

但你這弟弟、他死又活了﹔失掉、又得著了﹔我們理當歡喜快樂阿。』」

It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.
