15:1

有几個人從猶太下來，教訓弟兄們說︰「你們若不按著摩西的規矩受割禮，就不能得救。」

And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.

15:2

在保羅巴拿巴與他們之間、既起了不小的分爭與辯論，大家就派保羅巴拿巴跟他們中間另几個人、為了這個問題上耶路撒冷去見使徒和長老。

When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.

15:3

于是他們受了教會的送行，就經過腓尼基和撒瑪利亞，詳敘外國人之回轉，給了眾弟兄很大的喜樂。

And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren.

15:4

到了耶路撒冷，他們受教會、使徒和長老的接待，就報告上帝同他們所行的一切事。

And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them.

15:5

但是法利賽派中已經相信的、有几個人起來說、必須給外國人行割禮，并囑咐他們遵守摩西的律法。」

But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.

15:6

使徒和長老聚集，要看看這件事要怎么辦理。

And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.

15:7

經過了許多辯論，彼得就站起來，對他們說︰「同人弟兄，你們知道、從早先的日子、上帝在你們中間就施行了揀選，使外國人藉著我的口得聽福音之道而相信。

And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.

15:8

知道人心的上帝也為他們作証，賜予聖靈，正如賜給我們一樣﹔

And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;

15:9

在我們與他們之間、上帝并不加以分別，都是藉著人的信、潔淨人的心。

And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

15:10

既然如此，如今你們為什么試探上帝，要把我們祖宗、以及我們、所不能負的軛、放在門徒脖子上呢？

Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

15:11

不，我們乃是藉著主耶穌的恩、信而得救的﹔他們也是一樣。」

But we believe that through the grace of the LORD Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.

15:12

全群眾人都默不出聲，直聽巴拿巴和保羅述說上帝藉著他們在外國人中所行的一切神跡和奇事。

Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.

15:13

大家都默不出聲了，然后雅各就應時說︰「同人弟兄們，然后雅各就應時說︰「同人弟兄們，請聽我！

And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:

15:14

西面（此為希伯來音﹔希臘音則稱『西門』）已經述說上帝當初怎樣眷顧外國人、從他們中間選取了人民、歸于自己名下。

Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.

15:15

神言人們的話也同這個符合﹔正如經上所寫的︰

And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,

15:16

『此后我必重返，重建大衛倒壞的帳幕﹔重建它的頹墟，把它重立起來﹔

After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:

15:17

使其余的人、就是（或譯︰以及）凡稱為我名下的外國人、都尋求主﹔

That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.

15:18

這是從古世以來將這些事工讓人知道的主說的。』

Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.

15:19

所以我以為不可難為外國人中那些轉向上帝的﹔

Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:

15:20

只要寫信、叫他們禁戒偶像的觸污和淫亂（有古卷無此語）、跟禁吃勒死的動物（有古卷無此語）和血。

But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.

15:21

因為論到摩西嘛、從古代以來，在各城里自有宣傳他的人，每安息日在會堂里、他的書都被宣讀著。」

For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.

15:22

于是使徒長老同全教會就定意要從他們中間揀選人﹔所選的是︰那稱巴撒巴的猶大和西拉、在弟兄中做領袖的人，差他們同保羅巴拿巴往安提阿去，

Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:

15:23

寫信、經他們手帶去，說︰「做使徒和長老的弟兄們、給在安提阿、敘利亞、基利家一帶外國中的弟兄們請安。

And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia:

15:24

我們既聽說我們中間有几個人（有古卷加︰出去）用言論去攪亂你們，撤壞你們的心﹔其實我們并沒有訓諭他們﹔

Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:

15:25

我們就同心合意、定意揀選人，差他們、同我們親愛的巴拿巴和保羅、去見你們﹔

It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,

15:26

這兩位是為我主耶穌基督的名、不措舍棄性命的人。

Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

15:27

我們就差遣猶大和西拉，他們要親口報告同樣的事。

We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth.

15:28

因為聖靈和我們定意、不把更大（或譯︰更多）的重擔放在你們身上，只提這些必須作的事︰

For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;

15:29

就是禁吃祭偶像的東西和血、跟勒死的動物（有古卷無此語），又禁戒淫亂（有古卷無此語）︰（有古卷加︰你們不愿意人怎樣待你們，你們也須禁戒自己、不怎樣待人）這几件，請你們自己禁絕不犯，好好地實行。愿你們安康！」

That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

15:30

他們既被差遣，就下安提阿，聚集了會眾，把信遞交給他們。

So when they were dismissed, they came to Antioch: and when they had gathered the multitude together, they delivered the epistle:

15:31

眾人宣讀了，就因著鼓勵的話而歡喜。

Which when they had read, they rejoiced for the consolation.

15:32

猶大和西拉﹝他們也是神言傳講師﹞、就用許多話鼓勵弟兄，堅固他們。

And Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed them.

15:33

度了些時候，他們就蒙弟兄們祝平安地送行、去見差遣他們的人。（此處有古卷加34節︰『但是西拉定意仍然住在那里』。）

And after they had tarried there a space, they were let go in peace from the brethren unto the apostles.

15:34

Notwithstanding it pleased Silas to abide there still.

15:35

保羅和巴拿巴卻暫時住在安提阿，同許多別人、教授并傳揚主道的福音。

Paul also and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word of the Lord, with many others also.

15:36

過了些日子，保羅對巴拿巴說﹔「我們總要回到從前傳布主道的各城去、看望看望弟兄們。」

And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the LORD, and see how they do.

15:37

巴拿巴有意思也帶著稱馬可的約翰同行。

And Barnabas determined to take with them John, whose surname was Mark.

15:38

保羅卻以為、把一個曾從旁非利亞離開自己、不知自己同去作工的人、帶著同行、不適當。

But Paul thought not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work.

15:39

于是起了爭執，甚至彼此分開。巴拿巴帶著馬可啟航、往居比路去﹔

And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed asunder one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto Cyprus;

15:40

保羅卻選擇了西拉而出發，蒙弟兄們交托在主的恩典中。

And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God.

15:41

他走遍了敘利亞和基利家，使那些教會堅固。

And he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches.
