28:1
|
我們既已平安得救，才探知那海島叫米利大。
|
|
|
And when they were escaped, then they knew that the island was called Melita.
|
|
28:2
|
蠻野人待我們、非常仁慈︰因正下雨、又因寒冷、他們就生火待我們眾人。
|
|
|
And the barbarous people shewed us no little kindness: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one, because of the present rain, and because of the cold.
|
|
28:3
|
保羅撿了一把柴、放在火上，就有一條毒蛇、因為熱了出來，纏住他的手。
|
|
|
And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand.
|
|
28:4
|
蠻野人看見那活物懸在保羅手上，就彼此說︰「這個人一定是凶手，他從海里平安得了救，天理報應還不容他活著。」
|
|
|
And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live.
|
|
28:5
|
保羅呢、只把那活物抖在火里，并沒有受害。
|
|
|
And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm.
|
|
28:6
|
他們卻等著他快要發炎腫起來，或是驀然仆倒死去﹔等了好久，見沒有什么怪狀傷害了他，就轉念說他是個神。
|
|
|
Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.
|
|
28:7
|
在那地方鄰近，有園地是島長的產業﹔島長名叫部百流﹔他接了我們，以友誼之情款待了三天。
|
|
|
In the same quarters were possessions of the chief man of the island, whose name was Publius; who received us, and lodged us three days courteously.
|
|
28:8
|
恰巧部百流的父親被熱病和痢疾困住、躺臥著。保羅進去見他，禱告，給他按手，醫治了他。
|
|
|
And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him.
|
|
28:9
|
這一來，島上其余有病的人也都上前來、得治好了。
|
|
|
So when this was done, others also, which had diseases in the island, came, and were healed:
|
|
28:10
|
他們贈送我們許多禮物表示敬意﹔開船時又把應用的東西送到船上。
|
|
|
Who also honoured us with many honours; and when we departed, they laded us with such things as were necessary.
|
|
28:11
|
過了三個月，我們上亞力山太的船開行﹔這船以『丟斯雙生子』為徽號，是在那海島過冬的。
|
|
|
And after three months we departed in a ship of Alexandria, which had wintered in the isle, whose sign was Castor and Pollux.
|
|
28:12
|
船在敘拉古攏了岸，我們停留了三天﹔
|
|
|
And landing at Syracuse, we tarried there three days.
|
|
28:13
|
從那里繞著走，就抵達了利基翁。過了一天、起了南風，第二天就來到部丟利。
|
|
|
And from thence we fetched a compass, and came to Rhegium: and after one day the south wind blew, and we came the next day to Puteoli:
|
|
28:14
|
在那里遇見弟兄們，被邀請在他們那里停留了七天。這樣、我們就到了羅馬了！
|
|
|
Where we found brethren, and were desired to tarry with them seven days: and so we went toward Rome.
|
|
28:15
|
弟兄們聽見了我們的事，就出來，直走到亞比烏才場和三旅館、來迎接我們。保羅看見他們，就感謝上帝，越發壯膽。
|
|
|
And from thence, when the brethren heard of us, they came to meet us as far as Appii forum, and The three taverns: whom when Paul saw, he thanked God, and took courage.
|
|
28:16
|
我們進了羅馬，保羅蒙准許、獨自兒同那看守他、的兵住著。
|
|
|
And when we came to Rome, the centurion delivered the prisoners to the captain of the guard: but Paul was suffered to dwell by himself with a soldier that kept him.
|
|
28:17
|
過了三天、保羅把那些做猶太人領袖的招集了來﹔他們聚攏來了，保羅就對他們說︰「同人弟兄們，論到我、我并沒有作過什么事干犯本國的人民或我們祖宗的規矩，竟做了囚犯從耶路撒冷被送交到羅馬人手里。

|
And it came to pass, that after three days Paul called the chief of the Jews together: and when they were come together, he said unto them, Men and brethren, though I have committed nothing against the people, or customs of our fathers, yet was I delivered prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans.
|
|
28:18
|
他們審問了我，因我沒有該死的罪狀，就有意思要釋放我﹔
|
|
|
Who, when they had examined me, would have let me go, because there was no cause of death in me.
|
|
28:19
|
但猶太人卻反對著﹔我不得已，只好向該撒上訴，并不是我有什么事要控告我本族的人。
|
|
|
But when the Jews spake against it, I was constrained to appeal unto Caesar; not that I had ought to accuse my nation of.
|
|
28:20
|
為了這個緣故、我才請諸位來見面談談。我原是為了以色列的指望才挂著這鎖才的。」
|
|
|
For this cause therefore have I called for you, to see you, and to speak with you: because that for the hope of Israel I am bound with this chain.
|
|
28:21
|
眾人就對保羅說︰「我們呢、也沒有從猶太接到關于你的文書，也沒有弟兄來報告、或說起你有什么惡處。
|
|
|
And they said unto him, We neither received letters out of Judaea concerning thee, neither any of the brethren that came shewed or spake any harm of thee.
|
|
28:22
|
不過我們以為從你本人聽聽你所思想的、倒很值當﹔因為關于這派別、據我們所知道、它是各處受抨擊的。」
|
|
|
But we desire to hear of thee what thou thinkest: for as concerning this sect, we know that every where it is spoken against.
|
|
28:23
|
他們便和保羅定了一個日子，就有許多人到寓所來、受他招待。保羅從早到晚對他們講解，透澈証明上帝之國，不但引了摩西的律法書、也引了神言人的書、將耶穌的事勸導他們相信。
|
|
|
And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.
|
|
28:24
|
對于所說的事、有的受了勸服，有的還是取了不信的態度。
|
|
|
And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not.
|
|
28:25
|
他們彼此不和諧，就散開了﹔未散以前、保羅還說了一句話、說︰「聖靈藉著神言人以賽亞向你們的祖宗講話，講得不錯﹔
|
|
|
And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers,
|
|
28:26
|
他說︰『你去告訴這人民說︰你們要聽了又聽，卻決不領悟﹔要看了又看，卻決不看見﹔
|
|
|
Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive:
|
|
28:27
|
因為這人民油的心給脂油蒙住了﹔他們以沉重的耳來聽，又把眼封閉著﹔恐怕他們用眼看見，用耳聽見，用心領悟，回轉過來，讓我醫治他們！』
|
|
|
For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
|
|
28:28
|
所以你們要知道、上帝這拯救已經傳送給外國人了﹔他們倒要聽。」（此處有古卷加29節）
|
|
|
Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.
|
|
28:29
|
（他說了這些話，猶太人中間起了許多辯論，就走了。）
|
|
|
And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves.
|
|
28:30
|
保羅在自己所租的房子住了兩整年﹔凡進來見他的人，他都歡迎接待。
|
|
|
And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him,
|
|
28:31
|
他坦然無懼地宣傳上帝之國，教授主耶穌基督的事，毫無阻礙。
|
|
|
Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.
