11:1
|
那么我要說，上帝把他的子民推開了么？斷乎沒有﹔我自己也是以色列人，出于亞伯拉罕的后裔，屬便雅憫支派的。
|
|
|
I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
|

11:2
|
上帝并沒有把他所豫知的子民推開阿。你們不曉得經上在以利亞那段所說的么？他怎樣向上帝懇求告以色列說︰
|
|
|
God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying,
|
|
11:3
|
「主阿，他們殺了你的神言人，挖倒了你的祭壇，只剩下我一個人，他們還搜索要我的命呢。」
|
|
|
Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life.
|
|
11:4
|
但上帝的回諭對他說什么呢？「我為自己留下了七千人、是沒有向巴力屈過膝的。」
|
|
|
But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.
|
|
11:5
|
照樣看來，就是在現今這時期、也仍然有按恩典的揀選所留下的余數呢。
|
|
|
Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.
|
|
11:6
|
既是按著恩典，就不是由于行為了﹔不然，恩典就不再是恩典了。
|
|
|
And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.
|
|
11:7
|
那么便怎么樣呢？以色列所切求的、他們竟然沒有得著﹔惟獨蒙揀選的人得著了。其余的人就成了頑梗不化的﹔
|
|
|
What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded.
|
|
11:8
|
正如經上所記的︰「上帝給了他們麻木的靈，不能看的眼，不能聽的耳，直到今天這日子。」
|
|
|
(According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.
|
|
11:9
|
大衛也說︰「愿他們的筵席對他們成了網羅，成了機檻，成了絆跌物，又成了報應﹔
|
|
|
And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them:
|
|
11:10
|
愿他們的眼昏蒙、不能看見﹔愿你使他們的脊背總是彎屈卑服。」
|
|
|
Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway.
|
|
11:11
|
那么我要說，難道他們猶太人失了腳，是要全然跌倒么？斷乎不是。我乃是說，因他們的過犯、拯救便臨到了外國人，好激動他們的羨妒。
|
|
|
I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.
|
|
11:12
|
如果他們的過犯致成了世界之富足，而他們之退落減少也致成了外國人之富足，那么他們的滿數得救、豈不更是如此么？
|
|
|
Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?
|
|
11:13
|
我這是對你們外國人說的。盡我做外國人的使徒來說，我便以我的執事職分為榮耀，
|
|
|
For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:
|
|
11:14
|
或者可以激動我骨肉之親的羨妒，來救他們一些人。
|
|
|
If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them.
|
|
11:15
|
如果他們之被丟棄致成了世界之與上帝復和，那么他們之蒙收納、不是要致成了生命從死人中活起來么？
|
|
|
For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?
|
|
11:16
|
初熟麥子的面若是聖的，面團也就聖了﹔樹根若是聖的，樹枝也就聖了。
|
|
|
For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.
|
|
11:17
|
若有几根枝子被折下來，你這野橄欖得以接在上頭，一同有分于橄欖樹之肥汁的根，
|
|
|
And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
|
|
11:18
|
你就別對那些枝子夸勝了。縱然夸勝，也不是你托著根，而是根托著你阿。
|
|
|
Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.
|
|
11:19
|
你這就必說︰「枝子被折下來，特為地要讓我接上阿。」
|
|
|
Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in.
|
|
11:20
|
不錯，他們猶太人因了不信的心才被折下﹔你因了信心才立得住。別存著高傲思想了，卻要有畏懼的心。
|
|
|
Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
|
|
11:21
|
上帝既不愛惜天生的枝子，也就不愛惜你。
|
|
|
For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
|
|
11:22
|
所以你要看上帝的慈惠連同嚴厲︰向跌倒的人是嚴厲﹔向你呢、就有屬神的慈惠，如果你恆居于慈惠、的話﹔不然，你也會被砍下來。
|
|
|
Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
|
|
11:23
|
他們呢、若不恆居于『不信』之內，仍然會被接上﹔因為上帝能把他們接上。
|
|
|
And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.
|
|
11:24
|
你從天生的野橄欖上被砍下來，尚且逆著性接在好橄欖上，何況這些天生的枝子、豈不更要接在原本的橄欖樹上么？
|
|
|
For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?
|
|
11:25
|
弟兄們，我不愿意你們不明白這奧秘，免得你們自以為精明。這奧秘就是︰以色列人有几分的頑梗，等到外國人的滿數都進了來，
|
|
|
For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
|
|
11:26
|
全以色列才會得救﹔正如經上所記︰「那援救主必從錫安出來，他必使不虔之心轉離雅各」﹔
|
|
|
And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
|
|
11:27
|
「我除掉他們的罪那時候，這就是對他們實行我這方面的約了。」
|
|
|
For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
|
|
11:28
|
按接受福音來說呢，為了你們的益處、他們算仇敵﹔但按揀選來說才，他們卻因了列祖的緣故是蒙愛者。
|
|
|
As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.
|
|
11:29
|
因為上帝的恩賜與呼召是沒有后悔的。
|
|
|
For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
|
|
11:30
|
你們從前不順服上帝，如今因他們的不順服、你們倒蒙了憐恤﹔
|
|
|
For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:
|
|
11:31
|
這樣，如今連他們也硬不順服了，這是要使他們、因著所施給你們的那同樣的憐恤、如今也蒙憐恤。
|
|
|
Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.
|
|
11:32
|
因為上帝將萬人都圈住在不順服之中，好憐恤萬人。
|
|
|
For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.
|
|
11:33
|
極深哪！上帝智慧與知識之丰富阿！他的判斷、多么不能探索阿！他的道路、多么追蹤不盡阿！
|
|
|
O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
|
|
11:34
|
「誰知道主的心思？誰做過他的參謀呢？
|
|
|
For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?
|
|
11:35
|
誰先給了他，使他報答人呢？」
|
|
|
Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?
|
|
11:36
|
萬有都本于他，藉著他，歸于他﹔愿榮耀歸于他，萬世無窮！阿們（即︰『誠心所愿』的意思）。
|
|
|
For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.
