13:1
|
居上位有政權的、人人都當順服。因為沒有政權不是出于上帝的︰一切政權都由上帝所定。
|
|
|
Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
|
|
13:2
|
故此敵擋政權、就是反對上帝所規定﹔反對的必自招處刑。
|
|
|
Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
|
|
13:3
|
作官的原不是叫有善行的懼怕，乃是叫有惡行的懼怕。你愿意不懼怕政權么？須要行善，就可以從它得贊許﹔
|
|
|
For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
|

13:4
|
因為它是為你的好處而做上帝仆役的。但你若行惡，就該懼怕﹔因為他并不是徒然佩帶刀劍權力﹔它是上帝的仆役，是刑罰者，使上帝之義怒臨到作惡之人的。
|
|
|
For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
|
|
13:5
|
所以必須順服，不但因上帝義怒之緣故，也因良知的緣故。
|
|
|
Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
|
|
13:6
|
你們納貢銀、也是為了這個緣故，因為他們是上帝的差役，時常事務的正是這事。
|
|
|
For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
|
|
13:7
|
你們向一切人、總要把債還清﹔該向誰納貢銀，就向誰納貢銀﹔該向誰上稅，就向誰上稅﹔該敬畏誰﹔就敬畏誰﹔該尊敬誰，就尊敬誰。
|
|
|
Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.
|
|
13:8
|
除了彼此相愛，對任何人都不可欠什么債﹔因為愛人、便是行盡了律法。
|
|
|
Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
|
|
13:9
|
因為那說︰『你不可奸淫，不可殺人，不可偷竊，不可貪欲』的誡命──以及任何別的誡命──都總歸『在愛你的鄰舍如同你自己』這一句話之內。
|
|
|
For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

13:10
|
愛、不作惡事害鄰舍﹔所以愛即是行盡了律法。
|
|
|
Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
|
|
13:11
|
還有一點，你們知道這時機已是多么危急了。已時該從睡眠中醒起的鐘點了﹔因為救恩、現今比我們初信時、更接近于我們了。
|
|
|
And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
|
|
13:12
|
黑夜已深，白晝已近﹔所以我們要脫去黑暗之行為，穿上亮光之軍裝。
|
|
|
The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
|
|
13:13
|
要端端正正而行，像在白晝之中，而不是在荒宴醉酒中，不是在好房事邪蕩中，也不是在紛爭妒忌中。
|
|
|
Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
|
|
13:14
|
總要穿上主耶穌基督為軍裝﹔別為肉體籌謀、去放縱私欲了。
|
|
|
But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
