我保羅、以基督的柔和與溫良、親自勸你們──我，我這個在你們中間和你們面對時『謙卑﹝！﹞』，而不同在時『放膽﹝！﹞』的──有人以為我們是憑著肉體行事，我以為我必須以自信之心大膽懲治這種人──我甚至于求你們、不要讓我于你們同在時有這樣自信之心而放膽。

Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you:

But I beseech you, that I may not be bold when I am present with that confidence, wherewith I think to be bold against some, which think of us as if we walked according to the flesh.

10:3
|
我們雖以肉身行事，卻不憑著肉體交戰。
|
|
|
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
|
|
10:4
|
我們交戰的武器并不是屬血體的，乃是有屬神之能力的﹔能夠攻倒堅固的營壘，
|
|
|
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
|
|
10:5
|
將人的思想，以及一切樹起來、阻礙人認識上帝的高障、都攻倒了﹔又擄取了一切心意、使它聽從基督。
|
|
|
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

10:6
|
我并且准備好了、要在你們完全聽從時、責罰一切之不聽從。
|
|
|
And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

10:7
|
你們看看眼前的事實吧（或譯︰你們只看表面上的事！）。倘如有人自信為屬基督的，他要對自己再想想︰他怎樣屬基督，我們也怎樣。
|
|
|
Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ's, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ's, even so are we Christ's.
|
|
10:8
|
主賜權柄、是要建立你們，不是要攻倒你們。我就使為我們這權柄稍微逾分地夸口，也不覺得慚愧，
|
|
|
For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the Lord hath given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed:
|
|
10:9
|
免得我似乎藉著信去嚇唬你們。
|
|
|
That I may not seem as if I would terrify you by letters.
|
|
10:10
|
因為有人說︰『論他的書信倒有重量有魄力﹔及至身臨面對、卻是軟弱無力，說話又平淡可鄙』。
|
|
|
For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.
|
|
10:11
|
這種人該想想︰我們和你們不同在時、在藉書信所說的話語上、是怎么樣，我們和你們同在時、在行事上也是怎么樣。
|
|
|
Let such an one think this, that, such as we are in word by letters when we are absent, such will we be also in deed when we are present.
|
|
10:12
|
這不是說我們敢跟那稱許自己的一些人同列或相比。不過他們拿自己度量自己、拿自己跟自己相比、總是不聰明的。
|
|
|
For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.

|
我們呢、卻（有古卷作︰不，我們拿自己度量自己，拿自己跟自己相比。我們）不愿過量地夸口，只要照工作范圍的分量、就是上帝所分給我們的分量、也竟伸展到你們那里去。
|
|
|
But we will not boast of things without our measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you.
|

10:14
|
我們并不是越過了范圍，好像從沒伸展到你們那里去的﹔不，因為到傳基督的福音上、是我們最先到達你們那里的。
|
|
|
For we stretch not ourselves beyond our measure, as though we reached not unto you: for we are come as far as to you also in preaching the gospel of Christ:
|

|
我們不過量地夸口，不拿別人所勞苦得到的來夸口﹔我們只盼望你們的信既已增長著，就我們工作的范圍來說、
|
|
|
Not boasting of things without our measure, that is, of other men's labours; but having hope, when your faith is increased, that we shall be enlarged by you according to our rule abundantly,
|
|
10:16
|
我們便得以在你們那里格外擴大，可以在越過你們以外的地方傳福音，不拿別人工作范圍之內已齊備的工來口。
|
|
|
To preach the gospel in the regions beyond you, and not to boast in another man's line of things made ready to our hand.
|
|
10:17
|
夸口的要拿主來夸口﹔
|
|
|
But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
|
|
10:18
|
因為不是自己稱許的蒙試驗為可取，乃是主所稱許的才蒙試驗為可取。
|
|
|
For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.
