奉上帝旨意做基督耶穌使徒的保羅、寫信給在以弗所的（有古卷無『在以弗所的』一詞）聖徒，在基督耶穌里忠信的人。

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:
|

|
愿你們、由上帝我們的父和主耶穌基督、蒙恩平安。
|
|
|
Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
|
|
1:3
|
愿祝頌歸與我們主耶穌基督的父上帝﹔他在基督里、曾給我們祝福、以賜給我們天界中各樣屬靈的福氣。
|
|
|
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
|
|
1:4
|
就是他于世界創立之前，在基督里揀選了我們，使我們在他面前、滿有愛心、分別為聖、亳無瑕疵。
|
|
|
According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
|
|
1:5
|
他（或譯『分別為聖、亳無瑕疵﹔他用愛』）按著自己旨意所喜悅的、豫定我們藉著耶穌得了被立為子的名份、而歸于他，
|
|
|
Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
|
|

|
使他恩典之榮耀得稱贊﹔這恩典是他在那蒙愛者里面所恩賜我們的。
|
|
|
To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
|
|
1:7
|
在這蒙愛者里面、我們藉著他的血得贖放，過犯得赦免，都照上帝恩典之丰富。
|
|
|
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
|
|
1:8
|
他曾使這恩典充盈滿溢地流給我們，使我們有全備的智慧和明達、
|
|
|
Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
|
|
1:9
|
能知道他旨意之奧秘，照他所喜悅的美意、他在基督里所定的美意、
|
|
|
Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
|
|
1:10
|
以完成時機成熟之安排，使萬有、無論在天上的、在地上的、都總歸于基督。
|
|
|
That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
|
|
1:11
|
在基督里、照那按自己旨意之計畫運行萬事者的定旨所豫定的、我們也被分派、做成了上帝的業分（即『子民』的意思），
|
|
|
In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
|
|
1:12
|
要使我們這首先寄望于基督的人讓他的榮耀得稱贊。
|
|
|
That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
|
|
1:13
|
在基督里、你們也成了業分﹔既已聽見真理之道、你們得救的福音、來信他，你們也就由所應許的聖靈蓋印﹔
|
|
|
In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
|
|
1:14
|
聖靈是我們得嗣業的質定，直等到做上帝產業（即『子民』的意思）的得贖放，使他的榮耀得稱贊。
|
|
|
Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
|
|
1:15
|
為這緣故，我既聽見你們中間對主耶穌有信心、對眾聖徒有愛心，
|
|
|
Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,
|
|
1:16
|
就為你們不停地感謝，在禱告中時常提到，
|
|
|
Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
|
|
1:17
|
求我們主耶穌基督的上帝、榮耀之父、將智慧和啟示之靈賜給你們，因而認識他，
|
|
|
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
|
|
1:18
|
叫你們心的眼睛蒙了光照，你們就可以知道他的呼召所喚起的是何等的指望，他的基業在眾聖者中間的榮耀是何等的丰富，
|
|
|
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
|
|
1:19
|
他的能力對于我們信的人是何等超越的宏大。這是照他力量之權能所運用的動力，
|
|
|
And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
|
|
1:20
|
就是他在基督身上所運行，使他從死人中活了起來，又使他在天界中坐在自己右邊，
|
|
|
Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
|
|
1:21
|
遠超過各『執政的』、各『掌權的』、各『有能力的』、和各『主治的』，以及任何可稱之名號，不但在這今世、也在來世、都超過極遠的。
|
|
|
Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
|
|
1:22
|
上帝又使萬有順服在他腳下，并使他做教會的至上元首。
|
|
|
And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
|
|
1:23
|
教會是他的身體，是那正在完完全全被充滿者之充分完滿。（或譯︰是那正在完完全全充滿萬有者之充分完滿）
|
|
|
Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
