做主人的，你們要以正義和公平待仆人，因為知道你們也有一位主在天上。

Masters, give unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.
|
|

|
你們要恆心專務于禱告，要在這上頭用感謝心儆醒著。
|
|
|
Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
|
|

|
同時也要為我們禱告，使上帝給我們開了話語之門可講基督的奧秘﹝我是為了這個被捆綁的﹞，
|
|
|
Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:
|
|

|
好叫我按所應該講的將奧秘闡明出來。
|
|
|
That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.
|
|
4:5
|
你們對于外人要用智慧行事，要爭取（希臘文作︰賣掉了。或譯︰充分利用）時機（或譯︰機會）。
|
|
|
Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.
|
|
4:6
|
你們的話要時常帶著溫雅的情調，像用鹽調和而有味道，使你們曉得怎樣回答各人。
|
|
|
Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
|
|
4:7
|
我的一切景況、有親愛的弟兄、在主里忠信的仆役和同做仆人的推基古、要報給你們知道。
|
|
|
All my state shall Tychicus declare unto you, who is a beloved brother, and a faithful minister and fellowservant in the Lord:
|

|
我打發了他到你們那里去，特為的要讓你們知道我們的情形，并讓他鼓勵你們的心。
|
|
|
Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that he might know your estate, and comfort your hearts;

|
他和那位忠信親愛的兄弟阿尼西母、你們那里的人、一同去﹔他們二人會把這里的一切事都報告給你們知道。

|
|
With Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They shall make known unto you all things which are done here.

|
與我一同坐監的亞里達古、和巴拿巴的表弟馬可、給你們問安。論到馬可、你們已經領受了囑咐﹔他若到了你們那里，你們要接待他。

|
Aristarchus my fellowprisoner saluteth you, and Marcus, sister's son to Barnabas, (touching whom ye received commandments: if he come unto you, receive him;)

4:11
|
稱猶士都的耶數也給你們問安。在受過割禮的人之中只有這三個人、是為上帝的國做我的同工﹔這種人做了我的慰藉。
|
|
|
And Jesus, which is called Justus, who are of the circumcision. These only are my fellowworkers unto the kingdom of God, which have been a comfort unto me.

|
你們那里的人、基督耶穌的仆人以巴弗、給你們問安﹔他在禱告中時常為你們奮斗，要叫你們站穩、做長大成熟的人，在上帝的一切旨意上有著堅確的信念。
|
|
|
Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.
|

|
我可以給他作見証，他為著你們、跟那些在老底嘉和希拉坡立的人、是有著很多勞苦的。
|
|
|
For I bear him record, that he hath a great zeal for you, and them that are in Laodicea, and them in Hierapolis.
|
|

|
親愛的路加醫生和底馬給你們問安。
|
|
|
Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas, greet you.
|
|

|
請給在老底嘉的弟兄和甯法（有古卷作『陽性式』）、跟聚集在她（有古卷作︰他）家的教會、問安。
|
|
|
Salute the brethren which are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church which is in his house.
|
|
4:16
|
這書信在你們中間宣讀完了之后、要設法在老底嘉教會中也宣讀﹔并設法讓你們也宣讀從老底嘉轉來的我那書信。
|
|
|
And when this epistle is read among you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and that ye likewise read the epistle from Laodicea.
|

4:17
|
你們要對亞基布說︰「對你在主里所領受的服役職分、你務要謹慎，好盡那職。」
|
|
|
And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.
|
|
4:18
|
我保羅親手寫的問安︰「你們要惦念著我的受捆鎖。愿恩惠與你們同在！」
|
|
|
