3:1
|
你應當提醒眾人要順服執政的、掌權的，要服從權柄，對各樣善事、要隨時准備著行。
|
|
|
Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
|
|
3:2
|
不要毀謗人，不要爭吵，要溫良和藹，對一切人証顯出十二分的柔和。
|
|
|
To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
|
|
3:3
|
因為我們從前也是無知、悖逆、受了迷惑，做各種私欲和宴樂的奴仆，在惡毒（或譯︰陰毒）和嫉妒中度生活，滿有恨心，彼此相恨。
|
|
|
For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
|
|
3:4
|
但是我們的拯救者上帝的慈惠和仁慈顯現的時候，
|
|
|
But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
|
|
3:5
|
他救了我們，不是因于我們所行的有什么本于義的行為，乃是按照他的憐憫，藉著再生之洗和聖靈之更新力。
|
|
|
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

3:6
|
聖靈是上帝藉著耶穌基督、我們的救主、丰丰富富傾注于我們身上的﹔
|
|
|
Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
|
|
3:7
|
好叫我們既因他的恩得稱為義，便可憑盼望而承受永生。
|
|
|
That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
|
|
3:8
|
這話是可信可靠的。關于這些事、我愿你堅確地講論，叫已信上帝的人留心于正經的職業（或譯︰行善事）。這些事對于人都是美好而有益的。
|
|
|
This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
|
|
3:9
|
至于愚拙的辯論和族譜之空談跟紛爭、以及律法上的爭論、你總要遠避著﹔因為那是無益而徒勞的。
|
|
|
But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
|
|
3:10
|
分門結黨的人，警戒過一兩次，就要棄絕他。
|
|
|
A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;
|
|
3:11
|
因為知道這等人已經背道，犯了罪，自己明知不是，還是去做。
|
|
|
Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.
|
|
3:12
|
我打發亞提馬或是推基古到你那里去的時候，你要趕緊往尼哥坡里去見我，因為我已經定意在那里過冬。
|
|
|
When I shall send Artemas unto thee, or Tychicus, be diligent to come unto me to Nicopolis: for I have determined there to winter.
|
|
3:13
|
你要趕緊給律師西納和亞波羅送行，讓他們沒有缺乏。
|
|
|
Bring Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their journey diligently, that nothing be wanting unto them.
|
|
3:14
|
并且我們的人要學習正經事業（或譯︰要學習行善），預備所需用的，免得不結果子。
|
|
|
And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.
|
|
3:15
|
同我在一處的人都問你安。請代問那些因有信心愛我們的人安。愿恩惠常與你們眾人同在！
|
|
|
All that are with me salute thee. Greet them that love us in the faith. Grace be with you all. Amen.
