4:1

你們中間爭戰從哪兒來，斗毆從哪兒來呢？豈不是從那在你們肢體中交戰的宴樂欲而來的么？
|

|
From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?
|
|
4:2
|
你們貪欲而無所有，你們就殺人﹔你們切求（與『妒忌』一詞同字）而不能得，你們就斗毆爭戰。你們得不著，因為你們不求。
|
|
|
Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
|
|
4:3
|
你們求而無所得，因為你們妄求，要浪費在你們的宴樂中。
|
|
|
Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
|
|
4:4
|
變節的人哪（希臘文作︰淫婦阿）！豈不知與世界為友、就是與上帝為敵么？所以凡想要做世界朋友的，就把自己立為上帝之仇敵了。
|
|
|
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
|
|
4:5
|
「上帝切慕他所安置在我們里面居住的靈、至于狂熱」你們想這一句經是空說的么？
|
|
|
Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?
|
|
4:6
|
不，他還賜更大的恩呢﹔故此經上說︰「上帝敵擋狂傲的人，賜恩給謙卑的人」。
|
|
|
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
|
|
4:7
|
所以你們要順服上帝，抵擋魔鬼，魔鬼就逃避你們。
|
|
|
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
|
|
4:8
|
你們親近上帝，上帝就親近你們。罪人哪，潔淨你們的手吧﹔心懷二意的人哪，使你們的心清潔吧。
|
|
|
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
|
|
4:9
|
你們要愁苦，要哀慟，要哭泣。讓你們的喜笑變為哀慟吧﹔你們的喜樂變意氣銷沉吧！
|
|
|
Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
|
|
4:10
|
你們要在主面前自己謙卑，主就使你們升高。
|
|
|
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
|
|
4:11
|
弟兄們，別彼此毀謗了。毀謗弟兄或論斷弟兄的、就是毀謗律法，論斷律法。你若論斷律法，就不是遵行律法者，而是論斷者審判者了，
|
|
|
Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.

4:12
|
只有一位是立法者是論斷者，就是能救人能滅人的那一位。你是誰，你這論斷鄰舍的？
|
|
|
There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
|
|
4:13
|
來，如今請注意！你們說︰「今天或明天我們要往某某城，在那里度一年，作生意賺錢」，
|
|
|
Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:
|

4:14
|
然而明天的事你們還不知道呢！你們的生命怎么樣呢？你們簡直是水氣，出現少時，隨后就不見了。
|
|
|
Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
|
|
4:15
|
你們倒應當說︰「若是主的旨意，我們就會活著，就可以作這事或那事」。
|
|
|
For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.
|
|
4:16
|
如今呢、你們竟拿自己所矜夸的來夸口阿！這樣的夸口都是惡的。
|
|
|
But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.
|
|
4:17
|
所以人若知道該行善，卻不去行，這在他就是罪了。
|
|
|
Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
