3:1

天使（希伯來文︰他）又指給我看大祭司約書亞站在永恆主的使者面前，撒但（與下『控告』一詞同字）也站在約書亞右邊來控告他。

And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.

3:2

永恆主對撒但說︰「撒但哪，永恆主叱責你！那揀選了耶路撒冷的永恆主叱責你！這不是從火中搶救出來的一根柴么？」

And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?

3:3

當時約書亞穿著污穢的衣服站在使者面前。

Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.

3:4

使者應聲吩咐那些待立在他面前的說︰「你們要脫去他污穢的衣服。」又對約書亞說︰「看哪，我使你的罪孽離開了你，要給你穿上華麗的吉服。」

And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.

3:5

又說（傳統︰我說）︰「要將（傳統︰讓他們將 ）潔淨的華冠戴在他頭上。」他們就把潔淨的華冠戴在他頭上，又給他穿上華麗的吉服﹔那時永恆主的使者正在旁邊站著。

And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by.

3:6

永恆主的使者誥誡約書亞說︰

And the angel of the LORD protested unto Joshua, saying,

3:7

「萬軍之永恆主這么說︰你若行我的道路，守盡我所吩咐的職守，你就可以管理判斷 我的殿（或譯︰家），看守我的院子﹔我就使你在這些侍立的人中間往來。

Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by.

3:8

大祭司約書亞阿，你和坐在你面前的同伴都是好兆頭的人，你們都要聽！看吧！我必使我仆人分支 。

Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.

3:9

看哪，我在約書亞面前所立的石頭︰在一塊上頭有七眼﹔看吧，我必雕刻所該雕刻的，萬軍之永恆主發神諭說，一日之間我必將這地的罪孽除掉。

For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.

3:10

當那日、你們各人都要招待鄰舍來坐在葡萄樹下、或無花果樹下︰這是萬軍之永恆主發神諭說的。」

In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, shall ye call every man his neighbour under the vine and under the fig tree.
