大利鳥王第二年、七月二十一日、永恆主的話由神言人哈該經手傳出來，說︰
|
|
|
In the seventh month, in the one and twentieth day of the month, came the word of the LORD by the prophet Haggai, saying,
|
|
2:2
|
「你要告訴撒拉獫的兒子猶大省長所羅巴伯、和約撒答的兒子大祭司約書亞、以及所有剩下的人民、說︰
|
|
|
Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and to the residue of the people, saying,
|
|
2:3
|
『你們中間存活著的人有誰見過這殿從前的富麗堂皇么？現在你們看了怎樣？豈不是看為無物一樣么？
|
|
|
Who is left among you that saw this house in her first glory? and how do ye see it now? is it not in your eyes in comparison of it as nothing?
|
|
2:4
|
現在呢、所羅巴伯阿，永恆主發神諭說︰你要剛強！約撒答的兒子大祭司約書亞阿，你要剛強！這地的眾民哪，你們要剛強！要作工！因為萬軍之永恆主發神諭說︰是我與你們同在︰
|
|
|
Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the LORD, and work: for I am with you, saith the LORD of hosts:
|
|
2:5
|
這就是當你們出埃及時我和你們立約的話︰如今我的靈仍住在你們中間﹔你們不要懼怕。
|
|
|
According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not.
|
|
2:6
|
因為萬軍之永恆主這么說︰再過一小段時我必再一次震動天和地、洋海和旱地﹔
|
|
|
For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;
|
|
2:7
|
我必震動萬國﹔萬國的珍寶都必前來﹔我就使這殿充滿了富麗堂皇︰這是萬軍之永恆主說的。
|
|
|
And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.
|
|
2:8
|
萬軍之永恆主發神諭說︰銀子是我的，金子也是我的。
|
|
|
The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts.
|
|
2:9
|
這殿后者之富麗堂皇必大過前者之富麗堂皇︰這是萬軍之永恆主說的﹔在這地方我必賜下福利興隆︰萬軍之永恆主發神諭說了。』」
|
|
|
The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.
|
|
2:10
|
大利鳥王第二年、九月二十四日、永恆主的話傳與神言人哈該說︰
|
|
|
In the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,
|
|
2:11
|
「萬軍之永恆主這么說︰你要向祭司問禮節的規矩說︰
|
|
|
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Ask now the priests concerning the law, saying,
|
|
2:12
|
『若有人用衣襟兜聖肉，這衣襟觸著餅、或湯、或酒、或油、或是任何食物，這些食物便算為聖么？』」祭司回答說︰「不算為聖。」
|
|
|
If one bear holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and with his skirt do touch bread, or pottage, or wine, or oil, or any meat, shall it be holy? And the priests answered and said, No.
|
|
2:13
|
哈該又說︰「若有因死人而不潔淨的觸著這些東西的任何一件，這東西算為不潔淨么？」祭司回答說︰「該算為不潔淨。」
|
|
|
Then said Haggai, If one that is unclean by a dead body touch any of these, shall it be unclean? And the priests answered and said, It shall be unclean.
|
|
2:14
|
于是哈該應聲地說︰「永恆主發神諭說︰在我面前這人民也是這樣，這國也是這樣﹔他們手下的各樣農作物都是這樣︰他們在這里所供獻的都是不潔淨。
|
|
|
Then answered Haggai, and said, So is this people, and so is this nation before me, saith the LORD; and so is every work of their hands; and that which they offer there is unclean.
|
|
2:15
|
現在你們要用心想想︰從今日起必怎樣不同。在永恆主殿堂還沒有一塊石頭壘在石頭上以前，
|
|
|
And now, I pray you, consider from this day and upward, from before a stone was laid upon a stone in the temple of the LORD:
|
|
2:16
|
你們怎么樣（傳統︰自從他們是）？那時有人到二十斗才堆的田地，只得了十斗﹔有人到酒池旁，想舀到五十窟，只舀到二十窟。
|
|
|
Since those days were, when one came to an heap of twenty measures, there were but ten: when one came to the pressfat for to draw out fifty vessels out of the press, there were but twenty.
|
|
2:17
|
那時我用旱風和霉爛擊打你們，又用冰雹擊打你們手下的各樣農作物，你們仍然不歸向我︰永恆主發神諭說。
|
|
|
I smote you with blasting and with mildew and with hail in all the labours of your hands; yet ye turned not to me, saith the LORD.
|
|
2:18
|
現在你們要用心想想︰從今日起，從這九月二十四日起，從永恆主殿堂根基奠定這一日起，你們請用心想想︰
|
|
|
Consider now from this day and upward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, even from the day that the foundation of the LORD's temple was laid, consider it.
|
|
2:19
|
倉里雖還沒有才種閑著，葡萄樹、無花果樹、石榴樹、橄欖樹、雖都還沒結實，從今日起、我必賜福與你們了。」
|
|
|
Is the seed yet in the barn? yea, as yet the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree, hath not brought forth: from this day will I bless you.
|
|
2:20
|
這一個月二十四日、永恆主的話第二次傳與哈該說︰
|
|
|
And again the word of the LORD came unto Haggai in the four and twentieth day of the month, saying,
|
|
2:21
|
「你要告訴猶大省長所羅巴伯說︰我必震動天和地，
|
|
|
Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying, I will shake the heavens and the earth;
|
|
2:22
|
我必傾覆列國的寶座，消滅列邦之國的勢力﹔我必傾覆戰車和駕車的﹔馬和騎馬的必下到陰間﹔各人都必倒斃于他弟兄刀。
|
|
|
And I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathen; and I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride in them; and the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother.
|
|
2:23
|
萬軍之永恆主發神諭說︰到那日我必選取你，撒拉獫的兒子、我的仆人所羅巴伯阿，永恆主發神諭說，我必以你為印章﹔因為我揀選了你︰這是萬軍之永恆主發神諭說的。」
|
|
|
In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the LORD, and will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the LORD of hosts.
