6:1
|
（亞蘭文作但6︰2）大利烏實行他的旨意、立了一百二十個總督來管理國家﹔散于全國各地。
|
|
|
It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom;
|
|
6:2
|
又在他們以上立了總長三人﹝但以理是其中之一﹞，使這些總督向他們三人呈報告，免得王精神受虧損。
|
|
|
And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was first: that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king should have no damage.
|
|
6:3
|
于是這但以理，因有非常高超之靈在他里頭，他便有出類拔萃于眾總長和總督之上﹔王就想要立他來管理全國。
|
|
|
Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.
|
|
6:4
|
那時總長和總督卻想法子找到關于誤國的把柄來控告但以理﹔可是任何把柄或腐敗都找不到，因為但以理忠信可靠，任何疏失或腐敗都找不到可告他。
|
|
|
Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.
|
|
6:5
|
于是這些人便說︰「我們必找不到什么把柄來控告但以理，除非在關于他的上帝的禮節規矩上去找、來告他。」
|
|
|
Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.
|
|
6:6
|
于是這些總長和總督就彼此串通來見王，對他說︰「愿大利烏王萬歲！
|
|
|
Then these presidents and princes assembled together to the king, and said thus unto him, King Darius, live for ever.
|
|
6:7
|
國中的總長、欽差、總督、參謀和巡撫、彼此商議︰愿能立條王家法典，嚴格施行一道禁令︰三十天以內，無論何人、王阿，除了求你以外，若向任何神或任何人求什么，就必須給扔在獅子坑中。
|
|
|
All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.
|
|
6:8
|
現在，王阿，求你立這禁令，把詔書簽蓋上，使禁令不得更改，照瑪代米波斯人的例、永不廢除。」
|
|
|
Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.
|
|
6:9
|
于是大利烏就把這詔書和禁令簽蓋上了。
|
|
|
Wherefore king Darius signed the writing and the decree.
|
|
6:10
|
但以理呢、雖明知有詔書經已簽蓋，他仍住入自己房屋──這房屋在房頂屋子里、有窗戶開著、向著耶路撒冷──但以理仍然一日三次雙膝跪下、在他的上帝面前禱告稱謝，全照前此所作的。
|
|
|
Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.
|
|
6:11
|
于是那些人彼此串通，發現了但以理通常在他的上帝面前祈禱懇求。
|
|
|
Then these men assembled, and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God.
|
|
6:12
|
他們便前去進謁，在王面前提到王的禁令說︰「三十天以內，無論何人、王阿，除了求你以外，若向任何神或任何人求什么，就必須給扔在獅子坑中︰這一道禁令不是已簽蓋上了么？」王回答說︰「實在有這道命令，照瑪代波斯人的例、那是永不廢除的。

|
Then they came near, and spake before the king concerning the king's decree; Hast thou not signed a decree, that every man that shall ask a petition of any God or man within thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? The king answered and said, The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.
|
|
6:13
|
他們就應時在王面前說︰「王阿，猶大被擄的人之中那但以理不尊重你，也不以你所簽蓋的禁令為介意，反而一日三次作他的祈禱呢。」
|
|
|
Then answered they and said before the king, That Daniel, which is of the children of the captivity of Judah, regardeth not thee, O king, nor the decree that thou hast signed, but maketh his petition three times a day.
|
|
6:14
|
王聽見了這話，就非常難過，立意要解救但以理﹔他苦思焦慮到日落、要援救他。
|
|
|
Then the king, when he heard these words, was sore displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him: and he laboured till the going down of the sun to deliver him.
|
|
6:15
|
那些人就彼此串通來見王，對王說︰「王阿，你知道瑪代波斯人有一條例︰凡王所立的一切禁令和法典都是不可更改的阿。」
|
|
|
Then these men assembled unto the king, and said unto the king, Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians is, That no decree nor statute which the king establisheth may be changed.
|
|
6:16
|
于是王下了命令，人就把但以理帶了來，扔在獅子坑中。王應時對但以理說︰「愿你的上帝、你所不斷事奉的、愿他解救你！」
|
|
|
Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee.
|
|
6:17
|
有人搬了一塊石頭放在坑口，王用他自己的國璽和他大臣們的圖章封閉那坑，使懲辦但以理的事不得更改。
|
|
|
And a stone was brought, and laid upon the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that the purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel.
|
|
6:18
|
王回了宮，不吃而過夜﹔任何娛樂都沒有讓人帶到他面前﹔連睡眠都跑掉了。
|
|
|
Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting: neither were instruments of musick brought before him: and his sleep went from him.
|
|
6:19
|
次日天剛破曉就起來，很緊張地跑到獅子坑那里。
|
|
|
Then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste unto the den of lions.
|
|
6:20
|
將近坑邊但以理那里，王出了傷痛的聲音來呼叫，應時對但以理說︰「永活上帝之仆人但以理阿，你的上帝、你所不斷事奉的、能解救你脫離獅子么？」
|
|
|
And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?
|
|
6:21
|
但以理同王說︰「愿王萬歲！
|
|
|
Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever.
|
|
6:22
|
我的上帝差遣了他的使者、封住獅子的口，叫獅子不傷害我﹔因為我在上帝面前他都見我無辜﹔在你面前、王阿，我也沒有行過害人的事。」
|
|
|
My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.
|
|
6:23
|
當下王非常高興，便吩咐人將但以理從坑里系上來。于是但以理便從坑里被系上來，他身上并不見有任何傷損，因為他信靠他的上帝。
|
|
|
Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.
|
|
6:24
|
王下了令，人就把那些誣 控告但以理的人、連他們的兒女和妻子、都帶了來，扔在獅子坑中﹔他們還沒有到坑底，獅子便扑著他們，把他們的骨頭咬碎了。
|
|
|
And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den.
|
|
6:25
|
那時大利烏王寫了詔書寄給住全地各族之民、列國之民、和各種方言的人、說︰「愿你們多享平安興隆！
|
|
|
Then king Darius wrote unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you.
|
|
6:26
|
如今從我面前有道諭旨下去︰凡在我國中各邦的人、都要在但以理的上帝面前戰兢恐懼﹔因為他乃是永活的上帝，存立到永遠的﹔他的國度是個永不被滅的，他的權柄永無終極。
|
|
|
I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.
|
|
6:27
|
他解救人，他援救人﹔他行神跡奇事于上天于下地﹔他解救了但以理脫離獅子的爪牙。」
|
|
|
He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.
|
|
6:28
|
這樣、這但以理當大利烏掌國政時、跟波斯人古列掌國政時、就都諸事順利、無大亨通。
|
|
|
So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.
