8:1

伯沙撒王掌國政之第三年，有異象現與我但以理看見，是在先前現與我看見的之后。

In the third year of the reign of king Belshazzar a vision appeared unto me, even unto me Daniel, after that which appeared unto me at the first.

8:2

我在異象中觀看著﹔見了異象的時候，好像是在書珊宮堡，在以攔省。我在異象中觀看著，又好像在烏萊河邊（或點竄作︰烏萊城門）。

And I saw in a vision; and it came to pass, when I saw, that I was at Shushan in the palace, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in a vision, and I was by the river of Ulai.

8:3

我舉目觀看，見有一只公綿羊、站在河前邊﹔它有兩個角﹔這兩個角都很高﹔這個角高過那個角﹔那較高的是后來長起來的。

Then I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there stood before the river a ram which had two horns: and the two horns were high; but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last.

8:4

我看見那公綿羊往西、往北、往南進行抵觸﹔任何獸在它面前都站立不住﹔也沒有人能援救人脫離它的手︰它逕自任意而行，擴大自己的勢力。

I saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward; so that no beasts might stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and became great.

8:5

我正辨別的時候，忽見有一只公山羊從西邊來，走遍了全地，腳又不觸著地﹔這只山羊有個奇特的角在兩眼之間。

And as I was considering, behold, an he goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes.

8:6

它到我所看見站在河前邊的、那有雙角的公綿羊那里、去大發烈怒，向它直闖。

And he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran unto him in the fury of his power.

8:7

我見公山羊走近公綿羊，憤激惱怒它，抵觸它，折斷它的兩角﹔綿羊在它面前站立不住﹔它將綿羊觸倒在地上，用腳踐踏它﹔沒有能援救綿羊脫離它的手的。

And I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was moved with choler against him, and smote the ram, and brake his two horns: and there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand.

8:8

這公山羊擴大自己的勢力、擴大至極﹔正強盛時、那大角折斷了﹔又在角根上向天之四方（原文︰風）長起另（同詞︰奇特）四個角來。

Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven.

8:9

從四個角之中的一個又長出另一個角來，是小的（傳統︰從細小之中），向南、向東、向華美之地漸漸成了非常強大。

And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.

8:10

它漸漸強大、高及天象，將些天象和星宿拋落地上，用腳踐踏。

And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.

8:11

（經文有殘缺，意難確定）它逕自擴大勢力，甚至自以為是天象之君，竟把不斷獻與天象之君的燔祭除掉，把天象之君的聖建筑物拋棄。

Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.

8:12

有軍隊被遣派，以犯罪行為阻撓不斷獻之祭﹔它將真理拋棄地上，任意而行，無不順利（經文有殘缺，意難確定）。

And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.

8:13

我聽見有一位聖者在說話﹔又有一位聖者問那說話的聖者，說︰「關于以下這些事的異象要延到几時呢？關于這不斷獻的燔祭之被除掉和那使地荒涼的罪過行為、以及將聖所和拜神儀節任意踐踏的事﹔要延到几時呢？

Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?

8:14

他對他（傳統︰我）說︰「要延到二千三百個暮暮朝朝，然后聖所才能正宗化過來。」

And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

8:15

我、但以理、既見了這異象、就想法子要明白它的意義﹔忽見有一位形狀像人的站在我面前。

And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man.

8:16

我又聽見烏萊河兩岸之間有人的聲音呼叫著說︰「加百列阿，要使這人明白所見的景象。」

And I heard a man's voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.

8:17

他便走近我所站的地方﹔他一來到，我就驚惶失措，臉伏于地。他對我說︰「人子阿，你要明白這異象是關于末了時期的。」

So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision.

8:18

他同我說話的時候，我昏昏沉睡、臉伏于地﹔他就摸我，扶我站起來。

Now as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep on my face toward the ground: but he touched me, and set me upright.

8:19

他說︰「我要指示你知道上帝震怒之末期所必有的事，因為這是關于末了之定期的。

And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be.

8:20

你所看見那有雙角的公綿羊、就是瑪代和波斯的王。

The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia.

8:21

那多毛的公山羊就是希臘（原文︰雅完）王﹔那兩眼之間的大角、就是頭一個王。

And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king.

8:22

至于那折斷了的角、在其根上又立起四個角來的︰這就是︰有四個國要從他國中立起來，只是沒有他那樣的權勢（經文相同︰卻不是出于他自己的權勢）。

Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power.

8:23

這四國執政的末期、罪惡（傳統︰犯罪的人）貫滿的時候、必有一個王立起來，獫面無情，慣用雙關詐語。

And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.

8:24

他的權勢必然強盛，卻不是出于他自己的權勢（經文相同︰只是沒有他那樣的權勢）︰他必行極出奇的毀滅，順利成功而行﹔他又必毀滅強盛者和聖者之民。

And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.

8:25

他用權朮使手中的詭詐順利進行﹔心里計畫著擴大自己勢力的事﹔當在安樂自得、坦然無備的時候、毀滅許多人﹔竟要站立起來攻擊萬君之君﹔至終卻因非人之手而被破毀。

And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

8:26

所說暮暮朝朝所見的景象乃是真的﹔但你要將這異象封住，因為那是關于將來許多年日的。」

And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days.

8:27

于是我但以理精疲力竭，病了几天，然后起來辦理王的事務﹔我因所見的景象而驚駭，全不明白其中的意義。

And I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the king's business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it.
