那一夜王睡不著覺，就吩咐人拿備忘錄來﹔便有人在王面前一直地�。
|
|
|
On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king.
|
|
6:2
|
�到一處寫著說︰王的太監中有兩個守門檻的、辟探和提列、想法子要下手害亞哈隨魯王︰關于這事末底改有所報告。
|
|
|
And it was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king's chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus.
|
|
6:3
|
王說︰「為了這事、曾賜給末底改什么顯貴或尊大的爵位沒有？」那伺候王的侍臣們回答說︰「沒有賜給他什么。」
|
|
|
And the king said, What honour and dignity hath been done to Mordecai for this? Then said the king's servants that ministered unto him, There is nothing done for him.
|
|
6:4
|
王說︰「誰在院子里？」那時哈曼正進王宮的外院，要求王將末底改挂在他所給他豫備的示眾木架上。﹞
|
|
|
And the king said, Who is in the court? Now Haman was come into the outward court of the king's house, to speak unto the king to hang Mordecai on the gallows that he had prepared for him.
|
|
6:5
|
于是王的侍臣們就對王說︰「阿，哈曼正站在院內呢。」王說︰「叫他進來。」
|
|
|
And the king's servants said unto him, Behold, Haman standeth in the court. And the king said, Let him come in.
|
|
6:6
|
哈曼進來，王問他說︰「王所喜歡賜顯貴的人、王該怎樣待他？」哈曼心里說︰「王所喜歡賜顯貴的人、除了我以外，還有誰呢？」
|
|
|
So Haman came in. And the king said unto him, What shall be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour? Now Haman thought in his heart, To whom would the king delight to do honour more than to myself?
|
|
6:7
|
于是哈曼回答說︰「王所喜歡賜顯貴的人、
|
|
|
And Haman answered the king, For the man whom the king delighteth to honour,
|
|
6:8
|
人應該將王所常穿的朝服、王所常騎的馬、頭上戴有王冕的、帶進來﹔
|
|
|
Let the royal apparel be brought which the king useth to wear, and the horse that the king rideth upon, and the crown royal which is set upon his head:
|
|
6:9
|
將朝服和馬交在王最顯達的大臣中的一個人手下，好讓人使給王所喜歡賜顯貴的人穿上，使他在城里廣場上騎上那馬，讓人在他面前宣告說︰『王所喜歡賜顯貴的人應該這樣受款待。』」
|
|
|
And let this apparel and horse be delivered to the hand of one of the king's most noble princes, that they may array the man withal whom the king delighteth to honour, and bring him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaim before him, Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delighteth to honour.
|
|
6:10
|
王對哈曼說︰「趕快帶朝服和馬、照你所說的、去款待那坐在御門前的猶大人末底改﹔凡你所說的、一樣也不可躐下。」
|
|
|
Then the king said to Haman, Make haste, and take the apparel and the horse, as thou hast said, and do even so to Mordecai the Jew, that sitteth at the king's gate: let nothing fail of all that thou hast spoken.
|
|
6:11
|
于是哈曼將朝服給末底改穿上，將馬給他在城里廣場上騎上，又在他面前宣告說︰「王所喜歡顯貴的人應該這樣受款待。」
|
|
|
Then took Haman the apparel and the horse, and arrayed Mordecai, and brought him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaimed before him, Thus shall it be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour.
|

6:12
|
末底改仍回到御門那里﹔哈曼卻急急忙忙地回家去，帶著悲哀的心情，又蒙著頭。
|
|
|
And Mordecai came again to the king's gate. But Haman hasted to his house mourning, and having his head covered.
|
|
6:13
|
哈曼將所遭遇的一切事都敘說給他妻子細利斯和他所有的朋友聽﹔他那些智慧人和他妻子細利斯便對他說︰「你在末底改面前既開始失敗了﹔他如果是猶大種族，那么你就不能勝過他﹔你在他面前一定失敗到底的。」

And Haman told Zeresh his wife and all his friends every thing that had befallen him. Then said his wise men and Zeresh his wife unto him, If Mordecai be of the seed of the Jews, before whom thou hast begun to fall, thou shalt not prevail against him, but shalt surely fall before him.

6:14
|
他們還同哈曼說話的時候，王的太監們早已來到，請哈曼快去赴以斯帖所豫備的筵席。
|
|
|
And while they were yet talking with him, came the king's chamberlains, and hasted to bring Haman unto the banquet that Esther had prepared.
