王和哈曼來同王后以斯帖喝酒。

So the king and Haman came to banquet with Esther the queen.
|
|
7:2
|
在這第二天酒席中、王又問以斯帖說︰「王后以斯帖阿，你求什么？我必賜給你﹔你要什么？就是到國的一半，也必給你作成。」
|
|
|
And the king said again unto Esther on the second day at the banquet of wine, What is thy petition, queen Esther? and it shall be granted thee: and what is thy request? and it shall be performed, even to the half of the kingdom.
|

7:3
|
王后以斯帖回答說︰「王阿，我若在你面前蒙恩寵，王若以為好，我所求的、是求王將我的性命賜給我﹔我所要的、是要王將我本族之民賜給我。
|
|
|
Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in thy sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request:

|
因為我和我本族之民、我們都被出賣、快要被消滅，被屠殺，被滅盡了。我們若只是被賣為奴隸為婢女，我也就閉不作聲，但敵人是不會以王的這種損失為滿足的（或譯︰『但我們的災難是比下上王所要受的損失的』。此下半節意難確定）。」

For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. But if we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the enemy could not countervail the king's damage.

7:5
|
亞哈隨魯王問王后以斯帖說（本句多出一個『說』字來﹔今略之）︰「那敢存心這樣行的是誰？這人在哪里呢？」
|
|
|
Then the king Ahasuerus answered and said unto Esther the queen, Who is he, and where is he, that durst presume in his heart to do so?
|
|
7:6
|
以斯帖說︰「敵人、仇敵、就是哈曼這個壞人！」哈曼在王和王后面前立即驚惶失措。
|
|
|
And Esther said, The adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman. Then Haman was afraid before the king and the queen.
|
|
7:7
|
王怒氣上沖，就從酒席間起來，往王宮花園去﹔哈曼見王己經決定要加罪于他，就仍呆著，求王后以斯帖救他的命。
|
|
|
And the king arising from the banquet of wine in his wrath went into the palace garden: and Haman stood up to make request for his life to Esther the queen; for he saw that there was evil determined against him by the king.
|
|
7:8
|
王從王宮花園回到酒席大廳﹔這時哈曼早已伏在以斯帖所靠的榻上﹔于是王說︰「他竟敢在宮內、在我面前污辱王后么？」這話一出王口，人就把哈曼的臉蒙上。
|
|
|
Then the king returned out of the palace garden into the place of the banquet of wine; and Haman was fallen upon the bed whereon Esther was. Then said the king, Will he force the queen also before me in the house? As the word went out of the king's mouth, they covered Haman's face.
|

7:9
|
在王面前的太監中有一個叫哈波拿的說︰「阿，哈曼為那說忠義話來救王的末底改所立那五十肘（一肘約等于一[1]半）高的示眾木架現在正立在哈曼家里呢。」王說︰「把哈曼挂在那上頭。」
|
|
|
And Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mordecai, who had spoken good for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him thereon.

7:10
|
于是人將哈曼挂在他為末底改所豫備的示眾木架上﹔」王的烈怒這才消熄。
|
|
|
So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king's wrath pacified.
