4:1

耶穌充滿著聖靈，從約但河回來，在靈感動中被帶領著，

And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,

4:2

在野地里四十天、受魔鬼的試誘。當那些日子、他沒有吃什么﹔日子已滿、他餓了。

Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.

4:3

魔鬼對他說︰「你如果是上帝的兒子，吩咐這塊石頭變成餅吧！」

And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.

4:4

耶穌回答他說︰「經上記著說，『人活著、不是單要靠著餅。』」

And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

4:5

魔鬼就領他上高地方，霎時間把天下萬國都指給他看。

And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.

4:6

對他說︰「這一切權柄與其榮華，我都要給你﹔因為這是交付給我的，我愿意給誰、就給誰。

And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.

4:7

所以你若在我面前下拜，一切就都是你的。」

If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.

4:8

耶穌回答他說︰「經上記著說︰『要拜主你的上帝，單要要事奉他。』」

And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

4:9

魔鬼（希臘文作︰他）就帶領他進耶路撒冷，叫他站在殿才（或譯︰頂﹔希臘文作『翼』）上，對他說︰「你如果是上帝的兒子，就從這里跳下去吧！

And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:

4:10

因為經上記著說︰『他必為了你、囑咐他的使者加意保護你』﹔

For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee:

4:11

『他們就會用手托著你，免得你的腳碰著石頭。』」

And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

4:12

耶穌回答他說︰「『不可故意試探主你的上帝。』」

And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

4:13

魔鬼用完了各樣試誘，就離開耶穌，等到有機會的時候。

And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.

4:14

耶穌帶著靈的能力回加利利去﹔他的名聲就傳出來，傳遍了全周圍地區。

And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.

4:15

他在他們的會堂里教訓人，眾人都贊揚他。

And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.

4:16

耶穌來到拿撒勒、他長大的地方，照他素常所行的在安息之日進了會堂，站起來要宣讀。

And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.

4:17

有人把神言人以賽亞的書卷遞給他﹔他把書卷打開，找到一個地方、寫著說︰

And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,

4:18

「主的靈在我身上，因為他膏立了我去傳好消息給窮人，差遣了我去宣傳俘虜們可得釋放，瞎眼的可得看見，打發那受壓迫的得釋放，

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

4:19

宣傳主接納人的年頭。」

To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

4:20

他把書卷起來，交還當差的，就坐下﹔會堂里眾人的眼都瞪著他。

And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.

4:21

耶穌開始對他們說︰「今天這一段經文所說的應驗在你們耳中了。」

And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

4:22

眾人都証說他好，希奇他口中所出恩惠的話。他們說︰「這個人不是約瑟的兒子么？」

And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph's son?

4:23

耶穌對他們說︰「你們一定會引這句俗語對我說︰『醫生阿，治好你自己吧！』『凡我們聽見你在迦百農所行的事，你也該在這里、在你的家鄉行阿！』」

And he said unto them, Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country.

4:24

他就說︰「我實在告訴你們，沒有神言人在自己家鄉受接納的。

And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country.

4:25

我憑事實告訴你們，當以利亞的日子、以色列中有許多寡婦﹔那時天閉塞了三年零六個月，遍地大飢荒﹔

But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land;

4:26

以利亞并沒有奉差去找他們一個人，只找西頓的撒勒法一個守寡的婦人。

But unto none of them was Elias sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow.

4:27

當神言人以利沙的時候，以色列中有許多患麻瘋屬之病的﹔而其中、除了敘利亞的乃縵、沒有一個得潔淨的。」

And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian.

4:28

會堂里的眾人聽了這話，都滿心暴怒，

And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath,

4:29

就起來，攆他出城，帶他到山崖上﹝他們的城是建在山上的﹞，要把他推下去。

And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong.

4:30

他卻從他們中間過去，逕自走他的路去了。

But he passing through the midst of them went his way,

4:31

耶穌下到迦百農、加利利的一座城。在安息日他教訓人﹔

And came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the sabbath days.

4:32

人都因他的教訓而驚駭，因為他的話帶著權柄。

And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power.

4:33

在會堂里有一個人有污鬼的靈在身﹔他大聲喊著說︰

And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice,

4:34

「唉，拿撒勒的耶穌，我們與你何干？你來要滅我們么？（或譯︰是要滅我們）我知道你是誰﹔你是上帝的聖者。」

Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God.

4:35

耶穌斥責他說︰「不要作聲！從他身上出來！」鬼把他摔倒在眾人中間，就從他身上出來，沒有傷害他。

And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not.

4:36

眾人都驚訝，彼此談論說︰「這是什么話呀？他用權柄和能力吩咐污靈，污靈竟出來了！」

And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out.

4:37

耶穌的聲譽就傳出去，到了周圍地區各地方。

And the fame of him went out into every place of the country round about.

4:38

耶穌起來、離開會堂，進了西門的家﹔西門的岳母被高熱病所困迫﹔有人為了她的事而求耶穌。

And he arose out of the synagogue, and entered into Simon's house. And Simon's wife's mother was taken with a great fever; and they besought him for her.

4:39

耶穌站在她旁邊，斥責熱病，熱病就離開她﹔她立時起來，服事他們。

And he stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her: and immediately she arose and ministered unto them.

4:40

日落的時候、凡有病人、無論患什么疾病、人都把病人帶到耶穌那里﹔耶穌都給他們每一個人按手，治好他們。

Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.

4:41

也有鬼從許多人身上出來，喊著說︰「你是上帝的兒子！」耶穌斥責它們，不容他們說話，因為它們知道他是上帝所膏立者基督。

And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ.

4:42

到了天亮、耶穌出去，走到荒野地方﹔群眾迫切地尋找他、直到來到他那里、要留住他，不讓他離開他們。

And when it was day, he departed and went into a desert place: and the people sought him, and came unto him, and stayed him, that he should not depart from them.

4:43

耶穌卻對他們說︰「我必須也在別的城市傳上帝國的福音﹔因為我奉差遣、正是要作這事。」

And he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent.

4:44

于是耶穌在猶太人（有古卷作︰加利利）的各會堂里宣傳。

And he preached in the synagogues of Galilee.
