18:1

耶穌對他們講一個比喻，論到人應當堅持禱告，不可喪志。

And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

18:2

他說︰「某城里有一個審判官不敬畏上帝，也不尊敬人。

Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:

18:3

那城里有個寡婦，常去見他說，『從告我的對頭身上給我伸冤吧。』

And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.

18:4

他多時不肯﹔后來心里說，『我雖不不敬畏上帝，也不尊敬人，

And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;

18:5

只因這寡婦直攪擾我，我就要給她伸冤，免得她終日不斷地來纏磨我。』

Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.

18:6

主說︰「你們聽這不的審判官所說的。

And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.

18:7

上帝揀選的人晝夜向他喊救，他縱然在他們的事上延持著（或譯︰容忍著），難道不給他們伸冤么？

And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?

18:8

我告訴你們，他總要快快地給他們伸冤的。然而人子來的時候，難道得見信心在地上么？」

I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

18:9

耶穌也對那些倚靠自己為義、而藐視其他的人的、講這一個比喻。

And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:

18:10

「有兩個人上殿里去禱告，一個是法利賽人，另一個是收稅人。

Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.

18:11

那法利賽人站著（有古卷作︰獨自站著），用以下這些話禱告（有古卷作︰自言自語禱告）說︰『上帝阿，我感謝你，我不像其他的人、勒索、不義、奸淫，或者竟像這個收稅人。

The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.

18:12

我每安息周禁食兩次﹔凡所賺得的，我納上十分之一。」

I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

18:13

那收稅人卻遠遠地站著，連舉目望天也不敢（希臘文作︰不肯），只捶著胸膛說︰『上帝阿，開恩憐憫我這個罪人哦！』

And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.

18:14

我告訴你們，這個人下去、到他家里，比那人倒算為無罪了。因為凡自高的必降為卑，自己謙卑的必被升高。」

I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

18:15

有人連嬰孩也帶來到耶穌跟前，要耶穌摸他們﹔門徒看見，就責備那些人。

And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them.

18:16

耶穌卻叫他們來，說︰「容許小孩子來找我，別禁止他們了﹔因為上帝的國正是這樣的人的。

But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

18:17

我實在告訴你們，凡不像小孩子接受上帝國的、一定不能進入。」

Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.

18:18

有一個做官的詰問耶穌說︰「良善的先生，我該作什么，才可以承受永生阿？」

And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

18:19

耶穌對他說︰「你為什么稱我為善的？除了一位、就是上帝、沒有一個善的。

And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.

18:20

誡命你曉得︰『不可奸淫﹔不可殺人﹔不可偷盜﹔不可作假見証﹔要孝敬父親和母親。』」

Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.

18:21

他說︰「這一切我從幼時就都遵守了。」

And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.

18:22

耶穌聽見了，就對他說，「你還缺少了一件︰要變賣你一切所有的，以分給窮人，你就有財寶在天上﹔你來吧，來跟從我。」

Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

18:23

他聽見這些話，就很憂困﹔因為他是極有錢的。

And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.

18:24

耶穌看他，就說︰「有錢財的人進上帝的國、何等的難哪！

And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!

18:25

駱駝穿進才眼，比有錢的進上帝的國還容易呢！」

For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

18:26

聽見的人就說︰「這樣誰能得救呢？」

And they that heard it said, Who then can be saved?

18:27

耶穌說︰「在人不能的、在上帝卻能。」

And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.

18:28

彼得說︰「你看，我們撇下了自己所有的，跟從了你了。」

Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee.

18:29

耶穌對他們說︰「我實在告訴你們，人為了上帝的國撇下了房屋、或妻子、或弟兄、或父母、或兒女、

And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake,

18:30

沒有不在現今這時期得到許多倍、而在來世得永生的。」

Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.

18:31

耶穌帶著那十二個人到一邊，對他們說︰「看吧，我們上耶路撒冷，凡藉著神言人所寫的事都必完成在人子身上。

Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.

18:32

他必被送交給外國人，必被戲弄，被凌辱，被吐唾沫。

For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on:

18:33

他們必鞭打他，殺害他﹔第三天他就必復起。」

And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again.

18:34

這些事、他們一樣也不曉悟﹔這話對于們是隱藏的﹔所說的事、他們都不曉得。

And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.

18:35

耶穌正走近耶利哥的時候，有一個瞎子坐在路旁要飯。

And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging:

18:36

聽見群眾在經過，就查問是什么事。

And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.

18:37

有人告訴他說是拿撒勒人耶穌在經過。

And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by.

18:38

他就呼喊說︰「大衛的子孫耶穌阿，憐恤我吧。」

And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.

18:39

在前頭走的人責備他，叫他不要出聲﹔他卻越發喊著說︰「大衛的子孫哪，憐恤我吧！」

And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.

18:40

耶穌就站住，吩咐把他帶到跟前來。他走近了，耶穌就詰問他說︰

And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him,

18:41

「你愿意我給（或譯︰對）你作什么？」他說︰「主阿，我愿意能看見。」

Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.

18:42

耶穌對他說︰「你看見吧﹔你的信救了你了。」

And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.

18:43

他立時看見，就跟著耶穌，將榮耀歸與上帝。眾民看見了，也都把頌贊獻與上帝。

And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.
