以下是永恆主的話，就是當猶大王約坦、亞哈斯、希西家執政的日子傳與摩利沙人彌迦的﹔是彌迦見了異象論到撒瑪利亞和耶路撒冷所說的。

The word of the LORD that came to Micah the Morasthite in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.

1:2

萬族之民哪，你們都要聽﹔地和充滿于其上的阿，要側耳以聽﹔主永恆主要見証你們的不是，主從他的聖殿堂要斥責你們。

Hear, all ye people; hearken, O earth, and all that therein is: and let the Lord GOD be witness against you, the LORD from his holy temple.

1:3

看哪，永恆主出了他的地方，他下來，踏在地之山丘。

For, behold, the LORD cometh forth out of his place, and will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth.

1:4

眾山必熔化于他以下，眾山谷必裂開，像蠟在火前面，像水傾瀉斜坡一樣。

And the mountains shall be molten under him, and the valleys shall be cleft, as wax before the fire, and as the waters that are poured down a steep place.

1:5

這都因為雅各的過犯，以色列家的罪惡。雅各的過犯是什么？豈不是撒瑪利亞么？猶大家的罪惡（傳統︰猶大的邱壇）是什么？豈不是耶路撒冷么？

For the transgression of Jacob is all this, and for the sins of the house of Israel. What is the transgression of Jacob? is it not Samaria? and what are the high places of Judah? are they not Jerusalem?

1:6

故此我必使撒瑪利亞變為野外的亂堆，作為種葡萄之處﹔我必將她的石頭倒在平谷中，使它的根基露出。

Therefore I will make Samaria as an heap of the field, and as plantings of a vineyard: and I will pour down the stones thereof into the valley, and I will discover the foundations thereof.

1:7

她的雕像都必被砸碎，她的淫資財物都必被火燒掉，她的偶象、我必使它都荒廢﹔因為從妓女的淫資收集來的終必回復為妓女的淫資。

And all the graven images thereof shall be beaten to pieces, and all the hires thereof shall be burned with the fire, and all the idols thereof will I lay desolate: for she gathered it of the hire of an harlot, and they shall return to the hire of an harlot.

1:8

因此我必嚎才哀號，光腳裸體而行﹔我必號啕像野狗，哀鳴如鴕鳥。

Therefore I will wail and howl, I will go stripped and naked: I will make a wailing like the dragons, and mourning as the owls.

1:9

因為撒瑪利亞的創傷無法醫治，乃是延及猶大，直逼我人民的城門，至于耶路撒冷。

For her wound is incurable; for it is come unto Judah; he is come unto the gate of my people, even to Jerusalem.

1:10

（以下三行皆有讀音相似的戲語）不要在迦特報信，不要在亞柯哭泣（傳統︰總不要哭泣。今稍點竄譯之。參士1︰31）﹔要在伯亞弗拉（傳統︰伯亞勒弗拉）打滾于塵土中。

Declare ye it not at Gath, weep ye not at all: in the house of Aphrah roll thyself in the dust.

1:11

沙斐的居民哪，赤身慚愧走過去吧！撒南的居民不敢出來（此句有讀音相似的戲語）﹔伯以薛人的慟哭把你們立足之地都奪去（意難確定）。

Pass ye away, thou inhabitant of Saphir, having thy shame naked: the inhabitant of Zaanan came not forth in the mourning of Bethezel; he shall receive of you his standing.

1:12

瑪律（即︰『苦味』的意思）苦境的居民焦急等候著福利，因為有災禍從永恆主那里降到耶路撒冷的城門。

For the inhabitant of Maroth waited carefully for good: but evil came down from the LORD unto the gate of Jerusalem.

1:13

拉吉的居民哪，用快馬套車哦（此句有讀音相似的戲語）﹔﹝這是錫安子民犯罪的起點﹞因為以色列人的過犯都發現在你那里。

O thou inhabitant of Lachish, bind the chariot to the swift beast: she is the beginning of the sin to the daughter of Zion: for the transgressions of Israel were found in thee.

1:14

故此你必將摩利設迦特作為妝奩送出﹔亞革悉伯、對以色列王、必致令其失望（此語讀音跟『亞革悉』一詞讀音相似）。

Therefore shalt thou give presents to Moreshethgath: the houses of Achzib shall be a lie to the kings of Israel.

1:15

瑪利沙（『瑪利沙』與『個霸占者』讀音相似）的居民哪，我還要使個霸占者（『個霸占者』與『瑪利沙』讀音相似）來侵犯你呢﹔以色列的榮耀就永遠消失（傳統︰必到亞杜蘭）。

Yet will I bring an heir unto thee, O inhabitant of Mareshah: he shall come unto Adullam the glory of Israel.

1:16

猶大阿，為你的嬌麗兒女剪發、使其頭光禿哦﹔使你的光禿大如禿鷹哦﹔因為他們都必流亡而離開你。

Make thee bald, and poll thee for thy delicate children; enlarge thy baldness as the eagle; for they are gone into captivity from thee.
