4:1

（希伯來經卷作瑪3︰19）「因為你看、萬軍之永恆主說︰那日來到、燃燒著像火爐︰一切傲慢的、一切行惡的、都必成了碎秸﹔那要來到的日子必將他們燒滅掉，不給留下根頭或枝條。

For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

4:2

但對你們敬畏我名的人、必有義氣之日頭升現起來照耀你們﹔它的翅膀、光線、有醫治的效能。你們必騰躍著出來、像出圈的肥牛犢。

But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

4:3

你們必 著惡人，因為在我行動的日子、萬軍之永恆主說、他們必在你們腳掌之下成了爐灰。

And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.

4:4

「你們要記得我仆人摩西的律法，就是我在何烈山為以色列眾人所吩咐他、的律例和典章。

Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.

4:5

「看吧，永恆主大而可畏懼之日未到以前我必差遣神言人以利亞到你們這里來。

Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:

4:6

他必使父親的心回轉而向兒女，使兒女的心回轉而向父親，免得我來、以毀滅歸神的災禍擊打這地。」

And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
